If he or she commits a crime then yes they should be punished for it, if the judge or the jury warrants the death penalty for a crime then they feel he/she committed a crime that cost someone their life. If someone "murdered" one or more of your family members(shot them dead for some money) would you not want them to be punished? @bethhill99able He was charged for murder. He actually saved my life once, but that doesnt mean a shit in this world. He made one fat mistake and that was to hang out with the wrong people. And he should be killed because of that. In court they made a deal with another guy that was there, ofc he will say anything to get a better punishment, my friend gets death because the other one was offered a deal... how is that ok? The trial was not about truth it's about who spins the best story.

For all of you against the death penalty, think about this. Without it, they get life in prison, which while not the best life, it does have perks. No bills, free medical and dental, 3 hots and a cot, entertainment. Some prisons actually have rentable suites and weekend passes. This country's bleeding heart is eventually going to bleed us dry.

That would drastically cut down on the cost, and add in that most death row inmates end up staying in prison for 10 plus years because of those appeals and again it would drop in price. But I believe the death penalty is justified when a person commits first degree murder. If there is any evidence that a person was wrongly convicted, produce the information and fight like hell!
