  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

  • I Have An Un related Question, what did you use to record this?

  • Umm, this does not work for me, i have followed your steps and and it has installed, but there is no image next to it and it is not working.

  • @YourFace180 It probably was actually incompatible

  • I have a problem, i don't have Zip files, i have WinRAR Zip Archive, so when i add .xpi it just saves as xpi.ZiP

  • So you're telling us that most addons lose compatibility after updates because the author limits when their addon is compatible? I mean, I am seeing this works, and it's just stunning. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here and assume that there's an SDK for FF addons that does the automatic limiting itself to whatever the current version is that FF chooses.

  • Did you know you can write steps out for a tutorial on a webpage? It works better than making a video of it and uploading it to YouTube.

  • i thought there was an easier way to do it

  • There is, I'm don't remember what it is but it involves ading a Boolean in About:config

  • ya i just tried that i almost messed up my browser or comp or something

(i don't consider myself as a computer expert)

  • Massively useful, thank you!

  • No Problem

  • Thanks, very useful.

For older extensions you have already installed you can also use an extension called 'nightly testers tools'. It works great on most extensions. You simply right click any incompatible extension and choose the option 'force compatibility' and you are done.

  • Thanks Hex! I followed your tutorial and just installed Block Site and everything went well! Thanks!

  • When I rename the new zipped folder with the extension .xpi it doesnt change the icon like yours did. Then when I drag it into Firefox it ask me what I want to open it with. Please Help.

  • i need help idk what to type in for my version i have the newest firefox 3.5 plz help asap

  • Thanks. I've been wondering how to do it 5/5
