Actually it's a Comins 2-10" model made by George Alessandro. It's a design based on his "Working Dog" amps that's been tweaked a bit for jazz. You're right that a Twin Reverb can sound excellent for jazz, although they're not consistent, I've played through some that were just amazing, and others that I hated, so it's a bit of a crap shoot.
Dave Daddario is my band teacher!I'm serious! O and its Daddario. If any of you guys are from CT,(USA) you might have heard of Keigwin Middle School! Thts my school and b4 tht I went to Lawrence school where Dave is the band teacher too!R band sounds VERY good.Did u kno tht Dave can play any instrument in r band. I play the flute and he plays much better! Well, just thought you'd wanna know! O mail me if u want more info on him! THX-Sam(antha but I hate the antha part!lolz)
Thanks. I'm not sure what the "Dave Dana without Dave!" meant. We did play together on the show of course, I just haven't had a chance to edit, convert and post everything. Dave's an excellent guitarist and it's really a wonderful thing he's doing bringing some jazz guitar to the cable station up there.
Because like I mentioned in the above reply, this band NEVER played together before. We met each other about 15 minutes before the show was taped. The "conversation" was just me giving some direction to the band about where the "arrangement" was going next.
Great Intro! The band is cooking! I like the arrangement/concept and how all the band goes from a "fugue" like texture to a recall of "Fly to the Moon" from the intro vamp placed at the end as an "outro" and ending with a recalling of "So what"... Great ending! The solos are excellent ... I couldnt hear the spoken dialogue between the Pianist and the Guitarist, Mr. Rick Stone ...
This was pretty seat of the pants. This was a pickup band so we never rehearsed and there was no chart, I was just cueing the arrangement as we went along, so that's I'm sure what the "spoken dialogue" was (luckily it was off mic).
wow man. beautiful guitar playing. you got style!

Why are bass solo's always the time for conversation. Great band. The pianist digs Tristano.
