It's not fair to compare Alpina (tuned BMW) with standard Alfa. Better compare Autodelta 147 3.7 with Alpina e36.

No exotic car? Gtv 3.0V6 24v (220HP) from 1996 probably beat even Alpina with similar engine. Gtv - 6.7s 0-100; Alpina 6.8s. That are only some figures, ALFA LOOKS MUCH BETTER than every BMW ever made.

And it's V6, not 6 in line. I'm driving sometimes Lexus with 4.0 V8, 280HP and trust me, much more fun is with Alfa 3.0V6 24v.

Alfa doesn't producing big engines now, the biggest is 3.2 GTA. In two years time there will be an engine from Maserati 4.3 in Brera and in 169. After that you can compare your M5 (with big engine) with Brera (with big engine too). And how do you think, which are prettier? M5 or Brera?

Maybe even when in Brera will be Maserati's engine 4.3 Alfa will be slower than M5, but for sure I prefer a little bit less power and beautiful bodywork than strange 5er look with bigger engine. It's still BMW, you can see them everywhere. Alfa is much more distinguished. You can see, that from first five places three of them are Italian cars. Carrera GT is on the 8th place, Enzo on 5th. I know, there is no Veyron, but there are some gossips that VW don't want to give them testing, because it's fast on a straight line only.

9ff gt9? It has beed built only for break the speed record. It is much slower than similar class Veyron: from 0-100 it takes 4.2s, Veyron is 1.7s faster than that.

Is it faster on track than Enzo or MC12? I doubt. But 9ff is only tuning company. Maserati or BMW is building cars from nothing. You can upgrade a Ferrari, but what for? Everyone who has money can do that, so we can compare series cars only.
