Summer two years ago, I went to Singapore. The Indonesian married couple whom I met in there was very kind for me. Thereafter I wish that I want to go to Indonesia once.

I've never experienced earthquake during my visit in sumatra.

and I haven't experience any more earth quake during my 17 years life in indonesia compared to my 5 years in Japan.

I've often been hearing about earthquakes in Indonesia and Japan from TV News here.

But probably there are parts of those countries where is it dangerous to live there and there are parts where is it OK.

I remember the News about tsunami disaster (december 2004) and it makes me think it's relatively dangerous area.

Right, Tsunami happened in Aceh which was in the northwest side of Sumatra. The safest place to live in Indonesia (in terms of earthquake possibility) would be Borneo island.
