  • F18 HA F14 MORE LIKE IT !!!!

  • Why is he armed ? , you can't do that during an airshow

  • DAYYUMM I didn't know the Super Bug to stall for that long? This plane is full of surprises and I'm sure there are maneuvers it can pull that the Navy won't reveal.

  • I am wondering how does it stop in mid air @5.20..it doesnt have wings like copter..

  • @ananthspirit

That's a maneuvre called the "Tail Slide". While he is moving forward, slowly, at a high pitch angle, he pushes the stick forward and enters into a dive... The feeling of the airplane stopping is just apparent.

  • Who needs vectored thrust ? I still am amazed at this demo with a combat load !

  • That shit is loud in person. At my airshow we thought it left then snuck from behind the bleachers. these and harriers are looouud

  • That's 6,500 lbs of weapons loaded on the F-18 SH. Now that's Air Power.

  • I prefer Tomcats, ALL DAY ANY DAY

  • Man the Superhornet demo overseas is so much better than the one's here in the US. I love this plane!

  • looks agile and maneuverable

  • Funny, many Americans have adopted the "no worries" expression.

its everywhere! I guess because it is a good one! ;-)

  • @rampking1 Yeah we've been using that expression for about twenty years, dunno where it came from probably Australia or New Zeland?

  • Basic Hornet design is early 1970's design. Even the Super Hornet is inferior to the Soviet, Chinese or Vienamese SU-27.

  • @AccordGTR

Did you watch the same video? 70's ?

I'd be the first to admit though, as proven by the MiG-29, airshow performance does not always result in a winning combat aircraft.

So we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Btw, you heard about the F-18G that defeated a F-22 in mock combat?

    Look it up.

  • @rampking1 I wouldn't doubt you...it depends on the pilot's skill and whether he has an advantage. Sure a F-18 or even an older jet could beat a F-22 if it was a close-in fight. But fighter tactics are not to give your opponent any opportunity...if I were in a Raptor, I would use my superior avionics and stay at least 20 miles away and use my stealth to maneuver on their 6 o'clock to get a kill every time. They just won't see you. tactics are the key

  • @AccordGTR Sorry, you have no argument from me ;-)

I still have not been able to find out the scenario or details of the F-18G vs F-22 encounter.

I do know there is one F-18G with a F-22 badge painted on it.

Your comment makes me recall an F-18 Hornet loaded with ground attack munitions that took out I believe was a Iraqi MiG-29 without dumping his load and in fact completed it's close support mission!

    Thanks your reply.

  • A loaded jet doing this kinds of moves. "UNREAL". : )

  • @ktm066 I wish I could shake your hand.

The USA and Australia are truly brothers in arms.

Without a doubt the Aussies are the best ally and friends of the United States.

To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the Rhino when it first came out but it is winning me over now.

Seeing some of the manuevers here, I can see why the confusion with the F-22.

  • @rampking1 Why are Australia the best alllies of USA? lol.

Ive just never heard it before. I would say the UK is USA's best ally

  • @MarcianoMMA Let's see.... WWI WWII Korea VietNam Desert Storm Afghanistan Australia was with the USA in EVERY conflict listed above. No other country can match it. Prove me wrong? Regarding the UK, when the USA finally got the balls to mine Haiphong Harbor in North VietNam, UK ships doing businesss with the Commies were affected.
  • @rampking1 Why did you say "prove me wrong?". I asked you a simple question for fuck sake, I didnt want a shitty remark like that.

Why are you so proud that the Aussies were in VietNam with you??? Did they help you to lose that war or did you do that on your own? Australia are part of the commonwealth and in that case are our Allies. If you get them, you get us. Apart from that complete fucking disaster Vietnam, weve been at every conflict with you. We knew Vietnam was a bad idea, you didnt!

  • @MarcianoMMA sorry if I sounded like I was giving you some attitude.

    wasn't intended.

Its just that to often on YouTube there is lots of emotional talk with few hard facts provided.

Not getting into the Geopolitics of the various wars/conflicts, I just know that the Aussies were there.

I backed up my statement and I think I made my case.

  • @rampking1 No worries. :)

  • @rampking1 And dont you dare give me bullshit about fighting in WW1!!!! America spent eight months fighting! That is pitiful!

I guess your US history books are a bit Hollywood. Dont tell me, you won WW2 for Britain right?

  • @MarcianoMMA

    You asked me a question I answered...enough

  • @rampking1 I was not trying to discount the sacrifices of the UK in any of our aliied efforts together....soldiers from both countries are still fighting and dying right now

  • Nice presentation, but it's dosn't seems to have a good sustained turn ratio, only using intant turn. But it's still impressive that it's making an air show with missils on board. And the tecnology on this thing is not that unmatched, even french systems are on the level for a mach up. Go make a research before saying funboy comments. F-18 is a beautiful plane and is a tough oponent. Nice video!

  • @LordWolf2007 The SH has a really good sustained turn capability. Strangley enough they dont demonstrate it in this video, but you can watch any other SH demo and see it perform it's minimum radius turn then go straight up into a vertical tailstand. This DEMO seems a little bit more geared to it's slow speed handeling. I wish they would mix it up a bit more. The slow speed turns from this one and the more highspeed stuff in the American home demo's.

  • Very capable aircraft thanks.

  • El super hornet block 3 será uno de los más avanzados y poderosos del mundo llegando a ser 4,75 generación.

Para mi es el más hermoso y versátil de todos.

  • usa jets is batter then russian but desplay in air show russian is best

  • youre right, overall yank jets are better, better radar, better bvr combat capability n better jamming systems, but when it comes to maneuverability, russian jets can match u.s jets anyday, but lets not forget, most 4.5 gen u.s jets av now been upgraded wit a JHMCS n carries the off-boresight capable AIM-9X,wit this upgrades,F18 n F15 can be a very dangerous opponent for ruski SU's n MIG'S innit.

  • the title is wrong. It should be F/A-18F Super Hornet.

  • grande aeronave!

  • the plane has excellent low speed maneuverability and care free handling, not to many other fighter could do this. Especially some of the corkscrewing maneuvers not sure other fighter flight control software would allow them to go there.

  • The high alpha characteristics of the hornet are incredible, only draw back is that it cant keep its momentum going for very long in comparison to say the F-22

  • Granted. But you can buy several Super Hornets for the price of one F-22. Fortunately those two jets will never fight each other.

  • Great video and excellent photography with a steady hand! And the plane itself being awesome as it is makes it even more exciting! Fantastic job!

    Ken Palmer

  • Very nice vid - good to see someone out there knows how to use a camera properly. Thanks!

  • That's a Super Hornet.

  • Sorry! Just been told, changed the title.
