You could improve the clip a bit. Maybe do animations of previous demonstrations like Hungary in the 50s and other historical instances just to flesh it out a bit. Linking Tiananmen Sq and Burma is not a big deal. It doesn't say alot.
Also, maybe some more protesters, women, etc. And maybe give the soldiers automatic machine guns rather than single shots.

My animations are pretty immediate responses to political events, in the spirit of traditional print media editorial cartoons, and for this reason I give myself a time limit for production; this of course places all sorts of constraints on the content.
..also, the link between Tiananmen Square and Burma was specifically a comment about the lack of response from China during the early days of the military crackdown; which of course was to be expected from a nation with its own recent history of crushing dissent.
It is 1988 Burma then 1989 Tiananmen Square. What happened in 2007 is nothing compared to 1988
