Unfortunately their opinions like that are a natural characteristic of those who do not really know what it says anything, so if you know what it says.
Dear Brother It's Me gweeni want to say hi to you, hope you are doing well, I think of you dear one, I hope you are happy, Be good to yourself. Ilove you. and thank You for this sing
this is genius, and the singers gary and ashley are in my opinion, rad. triple neck guitar hot babe on skates and sparkly capes cannot be improved upon
I heard a great interview with Rick Wakeman about this King Arthur on Ice. One of the performances had a soldier out sick. During the dramatic battle scene his opponent wasn't told of his absence & skated & skated & skated around the ongoing battle looking for his battlemate... or at least someone to off him like in the script. I believe he fell on his sword or some such thing to end his shame of being the last man on the ice. Ha!
WHAT A GREAT SONG!!!! I'VE ENJOYED SO MUCH BACK THEN, AS I DO TODAY... I LISTEN TO HIS ALBUMS OFTEN. It's good to maintain the good memories. It's about us, who we are. TKS FOR POSTING IT!
ahh the 70's, why have i devoted my life to this glorious decade of bombastic, synthesiser swirling wackiness! Because of sheer opulence like this! And to top it off at 5.10 a triple necked guitar - say no more.
hey fox, i was 16 for journey tour. it still is clear as a bell. he is a great guy.. saw him at the garden. then saw him in a town called "telford" in england. my buddy spoke to him and he introduced me at the start of the second half f the show. awesome. it was him and his kid.. absolutely an awesome guy, bit nuts, but at least he tried some things out of left field.. love his stuff
Rick is very talented, seems to be a nice guy, and I like a lot of Yes material. But it is very hard to take this debacle seriously. Thank god it was only one year until punk, and only another until he rejoined yes for "Going for the One" (a great song/album). A for effort, for sure. But sometimes we would all be better not to trust our muse.
I liked this album a lot but always suspected the show might prove an icicle too far as well. Couldn't see the story transfering to an ice dance somehow.
Mind you (and this may not be the most tactful forum to say it) I've always rated 'Relayer' the best of Yes's work.
On a chirpier note, saw RW at Bedford a couple of years back - Doing all his old material well and plugging something about a new Voyage to Mars album or somesuch, tho I've heard nothing since on that.
I love RW, but this is terrible.....

I love anything Wakeman does. It was a great vision of his to have this perfomed on ice.

@RoadDog56 No, it was completely silly. And brilliant, of course!

@Bietel Haha that's how I feel about it too, a mixture of 'This is so cheesy' and 'Why can't I stop listening and watching this!'

One would think with a production like this, in all the mother country, they could have found two singers who weren't tone deaf. Sorry, but really...

The great thing is that Wakeman divinely varied and improvised. Sameness is not a song so simple to play. Fantastic!
