  • this guy talks like a fag

  • THERE ARE NO FUCKING RAD TECH JOBS!!!!! ANYWHERE!!!! GO SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!! WHAT YOU HERE IS BULLSHIT!!!! NOOOOO WOOOORK!!!!

  • this guy puts his nose in everything, and keep giving wrong info! any of the programs that he speaks about, he repeats once requirment, which is to hv a BS degree!!!!

it is not the case for all colleges or programs

  • Technicians = repair machines with no medical knowledge whatsoever.

Radiologic Technologists / Radiographers = medical professionals.

You wouldn't call a Medical Technologist a Medical Technician, would you? Get your facts right. The word "Technician is soooo fucking irritating".

  • This is great job i know 2 people who are Xray techs and it is easy job to learn you just need BS or AS and then get certified for license. Also along with salary you get around $100 for each study (each session) so you make good amount of money. Im currently attending Courses to get this job but an even better job would be in nuclear medicine same thing but higher up with really good pay

  • so how long does it take to become an x-ray tech?? is two years of college and then one year in the program?? or it's one year in college and one in the program??

  • I heard 2 years of College.

  • @G2N500 yep.

  • so is this an enjoyable job?

  • the job is not that good( you work Week-End , nights, it's Shift work)

it's called Radiologic technologist in canada

  • are you serious? do all rad techs have that schedule (i live in the us) if so that sucks. also how much do you get paid?

  • 25 an hr i think. Matters how long and what you have under your belt.

  • @RaNk323itsmynamegeez:

I imagine the schedule depends on where you work and where you live. If you work in a large hospital in a large city you're probably much more likely to be called on for night and weekend work. If you work in a smaller setting you'll probably be able to get by with a more relaxed schedule. You might even find some kind of work at some kind of medical imaging center that is separate from a hospital, you could probably get a 9-5 that way.

  • Pay varies, I think it's around 35,000 per year average pay when you are first starting out, but can go as high as 60,000-70,000 depending on experience and where you work and live. IMO that's really good pay for only a 2 year degree with no med school.

I'm not involved at all yet though, so don't take my word for it. Just going by what I've read so far. I'm thinking about studying to be a radiologic technologist later on once I get some other things in my life dealt with and out of the way.
