  • My computer hates me

  • nice.. i like it.. =D that will be a good training for PSAR (Practical Shooting with Airsoft Replica)

  • @KeVeNT64DSCW120 Ha! Yeah. I *could* use a real one, but would have to re-drywall my basement regularly. Stick to airsoft says the little angel on the shoulder.

  • airsoft-targets. webs. com cheap targets system

  • thats so bad ass you should send this to a company!!!

  • @MrTrip3ace Thanks the for comments. Calling all companies!

  • @MrTrip3ace No joke i would patent this and try to pitch it to a big company like crossman!! its worth a try!! GL

  • Glad you like it. The full version gets into the details of construction. Things have gotten even easier now for the iobridge from recent updates. There are onboard rules and serial support. Good luck!

  • I want one!!!! Seriously!

  • Really good idea. I have not done a lot with accelerometers, but one on the cloth trap on the back would probably generate a spike when hit to register. More of a binary hit/miss rather than a score, but a good first step for sure.

  • Maybe an accelerometer that will sense a vibration after a certain time which will indicate a hit?

  • Can't argue the trigger discipline, but thanks otherwise!

  • Great targets, terrible trigger discipline

  • Great ideas there. The scoring system has been talked about a lot. Another option is to have a swinging target that when shot would swing the target to click a button an increment a counter. The only downside is you couldn't use turning targets as I had in this video. Shoot me a link to a video if you do a system!

  • NICE! You have given me some ideas. It might be fun to see if I can use an Arduino to detect hits from an airsoft gun. Maybe use soup cans as targets and piezo elements to pick up the vibrations from the cans. Then use the arduino to keep track of your hits and display them on an LCD or 7 segment display. You could use different sized cans for different point values. Coffee can gives the fewest points. Tomato paste can gives the most points.

  • how much did that setup cost? plus the iphone

  • @joshgates81 iTouch -$175 (again, you can use ANY browser). iobridge - $120, servos - $20, Servo Smartboard %25, arduino - $30. You can now use Serial Smartboard ($30) rather than PWM output to communicate. So, that is full automated rig. If you wanted to have a friend control manually from web page, or you want to write code in your webpage, you can remove the arduino and serial smartboard. Good luck!

  • cool!!

  • @toranamunter Thanks toranamunter. It was a fun one.

  • Excellent idea. I will run it by one of my many servants :-)

  • Get a larger pressure tab and put it on the bullseye on the back so everytime you hit the bullseye on any of the targets, an LED or group of LEDS light up. Sounds good to me! :) Then have your servant or girlfriend take tallys! Perfect weekend. :)

  • @robinsonpayton1 Well, its all posted on my site. I have confidence you can do way better than I can! There has been a challenge to see a scoring system (hint, hint)

  • Next step would be to add a plate to the back and stick a piezo on it so that when you hit the target it would make a "DING" or something.

  • @neills I just posted a very similar idea. I hadn't bothered to look at the comments before postings my idea. But yea, my thought was also a piezo.

  • Need to add force sensor to each target and hit/miss counter to system. Add more targets, put them all over your garage, invite your drunken friends over and rain hell upon paper! lol.

  • Damn and i thought some wooden posts and target paper were good....

  • that is soooo awesome :D

  • that's kick ass, best target i saw. wish i could make one but i don't have the stuff to make it

  • You think i could use my phone.... LG DARE to control it.... don't know how you did it but maybe it would work?

  • The interface is just a standard webpage, so I would think there would be no problem whatsoever. Nothing fancy about it.

  • wow, thats amazing, and its actually very useful. I like how you can change the speed of the targets so you can really work on your reaction time.

  • that's pretty cool

  • love it, great job..

  • dude thats sick make a horizontal target next...great job

  • bad-ass.... I've just bout my first arduino book, pretty soon I'll see about making a robot to shoot your targets lol.

  • Bring it on YouMockMe! I'll be waiting!

  • thats so awesome. i have the same exact gun too. it broke though :/

  • Freaking awesome :) Next you should make one that slides from side to side like a moving person.

  • Reminds me of RoboCop.

  • At 2:37 it looked soo Wolfestein3D

    very nice!

  • Reminds me of RoboCop.

  • N.I.C.E.

  • Awesome, very ingenius!!!!

By the way what is the name of the song?

Thank You, keep up the good work!!

  • Thanks for the support! Yeah, this was a fun one to make. The song is "Battle without Honor or Humanity".
