im like super short and i dont have to tap the intro, only because if you hold ure guitar up on your hip like ed does in 83 festival, u can make the reach fairly easy. hope it helps. P.S. and u look pretty sweet doin it too. haa

That's it. I tap the beginng sequence as well. It supposedly is done with alternate picking but I think it sounds just as good or better when you tap that part.

if you could tab out your version that would be awesome...I'm not able to hit the 12-19 with my index finger and pinky, and the tap on seems like the best way to go. I've seen him play this scale, and he actually does use his index and pinky, rather thanthe tap...but he's like 5' tall and I think he has really tiny frets or something. Your version is the best way...post it man!!!

yeah, eddie picks it. he lifts his guitar up, so he can reach the notes. I always thought he was just posing. it's doable if you lift up your guitar. still really tough though. I can pick it sitting down, but what's the point of that? tab for tapping would be the same just replace the pinky stuff with the right hand.

nice! im super drunk but it makes sense. I'll try it when I wake up. Another "trick" he uses is a bend down on the 4th fret on the B string...he'll hit the note, then start some harmonics...idk. I'll try this when i wake up, let u know how it goes.

hey thanks nicklove! I took some lessons with the atomic punks guitarist and he said he can't hit every note like that either. he said he would just hit as many as he could. Eddie probably came up with that lick before he came up with the tapping. :) I mean why kill yourself anyways?

I love every part of this solo. it's like a song within a song. what's great about Eddie, is not only is he fast and flashy, he plays with such feel and soul. I could never get this one until I slowed it down and started tapping the beginning.

when I finally got serious about it, it took about a week. I slowed the record down and learned it that way. It's fast but most of the patterns are not too difficult to play. The intro is a bitch, I'm still working on it.
