Thank you. My Grand Parents, and Great Grand Parents lived there, and we still visit my Aunt there. Been going in all seasons since 1959. Always love it, no matter the season.
I biked from Cape May Point to North Wildwood last January. There wasn't any snow on the ground, but the sense of solitude, of isolation, of ghostly nothingness, was in the air. Wildwood is fascinating but almost frightening in the dead of winter. At night it can be terrifying. Sometimes all you hear is the sound of a distant person working on his summer place of business. A hammer driving nails. That's all.
When I was a kid, I used to ask my parents what the boardwalk looked like with snow on it in winter...they told me it never snowed in Wildwood. Those dirty fibbers!
OMG!!! it's sort of freaky in winter really... Well The Golden nugget is and speaking of the golden nugget, why is it still there if they don't have it running? Well it's VERY freaky at nighttime because it's like all by it's self in the sand and i was watching other videos in like the 1970's and there was like rides arould it but now it's all by itself
This is SO, SO awesome! You are a genius! I have always wanted to see Wildwood in the winter but never have. It's only a 2 hour right from Philly but we never get there during the winter. Every summer, though! Hunts was my favorite! Thanks for the memories. Aerosmith is a perfect touch!
Some of those things are no longer there, the Wildwood Diner, Shore 4 Theater. When were these pics taken, and of the Golden Nugget Mine on former Hunt's Pier? Snow on the Nugget?
@funchase. Great job and the music is so fitting.

Very cool video. Although the boardwalk and touist areas are quiet, The Wildwoods are quite inhabited in the offseason. About 14,000 call this home.
