I went to the Worldwide Church of God from 4-13 yrs. old and the Philadelphia Church of God from 14-18 yrs. old. I FULLY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE CULTS. It has taken years for me to stop living in fear. I'm healing, but my mother is still in the PCG. She isn't sure that she will be allowed (by the church) to come to my marriage blessing at the Episcopal church...it will only be the traditional wedding vows ceremony. She did not come to my 1st baptism, at age 29, b/c of the PCG's teachings.
What is it about the Worldwide Church of God, or Herbert W Armstrong that makes them a false prophet? Is it some teaching of theirs? I've read some of their stuff over the years & used to watch them on tv and don't remember anything that made me think false prophet. I don't agree with them on some things, but that can be said for most ministries. I see much more falsehood on TBN or some of these big name preachers than on the WCG.

Through reading of his Bible you will come to know the truths that He has for you. But whenever you're ready, God will welcome you with open arms. He won't haunt you with your past, He doesn't discriminate, because His love for you is greater than you could ever know.

@marcosfenrir Well, the first mistake you made was assuming your own power. Because if you knew the humility that was taught in the BIBLE, then you would know that we our powerless, and great things are not accomplished by us, but by Christ who lives in us if you allow him to. I don't know if you have a Bible or not, but the one I own is upwards of 1600 pages. It is near impossble to know it entirely. You know, Satan knows more about the truth of the Bible more than any mortal Christian.

Thank you, freezin. I think I left out of pure hatred of being controlled, though. I clearly remember telling my mom that I didn't care if I went to hell, I just didn't want to go to that church anymore! (That was at 18 years old.)

These splinter groups from the Worldwide Church of God initially, all claim that if you do things their way, you will acceptable to God. They preach a message of doom and gloom - employing fear religion, the worship and acceptance of Herbert W Armstrong. Herbert Armstrong admitted himself, that he made mistakes and was wrong about alot of what he preached. The problem is, that these people who deify him won't accept that what he said. These guys are all cults using religious abuse.

I am tired of the stupidity of the church which is unecessary because we can simply take all these to the Lord in prayer and let Him reveal. I went to the Worldwide Church of God from 4-13 yrs. old and the Philadelphia Church of God from 14-18 yrs. old. I FULLY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE CULTS. It has taken years for me to stop living in fear. I'm healing, but my mother is still in the PCG. She isn't sure that she will be allowed (by the church) to come to my marriage blessing at the Episcopal church...it will only be the traditional wedding vows ceremony. She did not come to my 1st baptism, at age 29, b/c of the PCG's teachings.

What is it about the Worldwide Church of God, or Herbert W Armstrong that makes them a false prophet? Is it some teaching of theirs? I've read some of their stuff over the years & used to watch them on tv and don't remember anything that made me think false prophet. I don't agree with them on some things, but that can be said for most ministries. I see much more falsehood on TBN or some of these big name preachers than on the WCG.

A bump in the head does not make one a prophet of God. I read many of her books and she was not a prophet at all. Maybe you know nothing about parapsychology and gifted person. EGW is Jezebel the false prophetess (Rev. 2:20-22). You are not Laodiceans but Thyatirans. SDA is truly doing many works at this end of time. But you all need to repent.
