So to be sure I've got this figured out - that town you pass over, seen out front at about 2:00 minutes, is Castricum, then you turn south parallel to the coast? That lake is the Alkmaarder Meer? The "river" is the North Sea Canal?

@plllot Probably follow standard taxiing procedures. I would say 20-25 knots. People say that you should only taxi as fast as you can walk, but I think we all know that the pilots don't really follow that set of rules anymore! :)

When I was in Amsterdam back in April we must have landed on this very runway as the taxi to the terminal was almost as long as the flight from Edinburgh. The airlines must hate landing on this runway as it means more fuel used to get to the gate. The airport is huge and has a great rooftop spotting area.

@sterlingman That is always when you land on 18R. It is called the Polderbaan and it is a drive of about 6-8 km, depending of where your gate is.
