Very informative video. I seem to have very bad luck with meds, I was put on Elmiron and had a reaction to it so its out for me.. I continue to pray for more publicity on IC some doctors ive seen dont even know what it is.. which is sad in my book .. I just pray for release of pain ive been living with this for 15+ yrs and it finally just got diagnosed.. along with two other illnesses.. God Bless to those who suffer from this.. my prayers are with u.

Some insurance companies REFUSE to add Lidocaine, Heparin, Sodium Bicarbonate to their formularies, or like Elmiron, place it on a high Tier so that the co-payments are so cost prohibitive they become unaffordable. Again, this pain is like being tortured 24/7 w/o relief. Jan

I'm Dr. Parsons' patient. He is amazing as is all his staff.

What gets me is how expensive Elmiron is even WITH prescription drug benefits.

That is immoral and unethical. People suffering, who could well respond to Elmiron but can't afford it SUFFER with pain that has been compared to end stage bladder cancer.

Too bad Elmiron is outrageously expensive for someone with no insurance. Also, it never seemed to work for me when I was on it, and I was on it for about a year and a half. I am on Detrol LA, Pyridium, Flexeril, Xanax, and Vicodin, among other meds... I've lived with this for 3 1/2 years and I'm still in moderate to severe pain almost everyday. =[ I wish I could receive more help!
