  • As a Bucs fan i was really sad to see the Bucs let him go along with all of the other greats that were and always will be Bucs in our hearts.

  • He's my football coach

  • i know him

  • i met him today great guy and he sign an nfl football for me

  • LOL I know he means more NFL but really? No body outside Tampa knows about him, what about Tally? Home of the NOLES where we watched this BEAST for four years!

  • u lucky bastard u met him

  • Now retired, Good luck with the future Derrick,

The Buccaneers and me will miss you.

  • The only linebacker that was better than him in the 2000s was Ray Lewis.

  • @Gwitfu90 I'd say Derrick Brooks was better. Middle Linebacker is much simpler to play than outside. No disrespect to Ray Lewis however.

  • @RarelyEvenn Doesn't matter, Ray was still a linebacker.

  • But Ray Lewis talked too much, Screaming over the line of scrimmage.

Derrick Brooks was soft-spoken. Letting his game do the talking

  • @RarelyEvenn Ray Lewis didn't go to 11 Pro Bowls for talking trash.

  • @Gwitfu90 Derrick Brooks never killed two people like Ray Lewis Did.....

  • @RarelyEvenn What does that have to do with him being a good linebacker?

  • great move of the bucs new head coach to get rid of a future hall of famer, everybody saw this year how good are bucs linebackers.

  • @turboreattore right??

  • @vajinater right what?

  • @turboreattore as in that was a stupid move and your right

  • @vajinater :-) i'm a great expert of stupid moves, i'm a bronco fan, and our coach is the king of stupidity

  • @turboreattore yeah i like that get rid of a great qb and an even better wide out he is pretty stuped

  • Anyone know the name of the first theme? I've hard it somewhere but can't remember where.

Derrick was a monster. Can't wait till he's enshrined in the HOF so we can see highlights of him early on in his career when he was faster than some RBs and WRs.

  • #55 sorely missed. Great player...but even greater person. Pro sports needs more good people like him who make time for fans & help the less fortunate. Derrick is the only player I can think of that I can mention in the same sentence as Walter Payton. Class act. Read Derrick's personal bio on the Bucs website. AWESOME GUY. He should be a def. coordinator. He would be great at it, no question about it. Any team would be so lucky to land him as a coach. DERRICK SHOULD DEFINITELY COACH.

  • this is my hero, best LB ever

  • Derrick is the greatest. I've met him a couple of times and think he's soooo Mr. Wonderful! ;o)

  • @Qbeso727 I hate you for that. He's my favorite athlete of any sport.

  • I don't know how the Bucs fire him!!

  • @XVIIMCMLXXXIV because they thought a youth movement was making progress. They thought geno hayes or quincy black (mid twenties) were better than a mid thirties future hall of famer!.

  • this guy truly is underappreciated, i hope the Pats pick up, we could use a veteran presence at linebacker

  • no he won't i think he'll retire and come back to my and his home town..... (Pensacola Fl.) hes awesome comes over here and gives and gives with generosity LOVE YA DERRICK!

  • He aint done yet, he gona be back wit N.O.
