  • invenzione idiota.....

  • genial para llevar la pizza bien pronto...

  • I can say easily that it is a stolen idea. I am sure that designer was aware of this concept and have seen in internet an example of it and created own design.

There are many quacks stoling other's ideas and presenting as if their own idea.

  • U.S. already has this, it quiets the sounds of the rotor.

  • just add telescopic rotor blade

it will be efficient during frontward flight

and also colapse the small rotor blades after the size is decreased it might help getting some lift if mounted the proper way

  • so it like really goes from heli to jet thing?

  • if feel like he came up with this while someone pooped on his chest.

  • what does this achieve? it seems stupid

  • @MarcusVel13 if it can fly with just the disc and only need the rotors for lifting this would make the airspace needed for the heli significaly reduced. Which would be useful in tight spaces etc. Though i don't know if the disc have the power itself to keep the heli up in the air, only then it would be useful, but as i said i don't know im no engineer.

  • @ayGoGaming it would not be able to fly using the disc, most likely it (the computer model) would have an engine, and just use the disc/rotorblades for takeoff, landing, and hovering. This will never be produced though, since the whole assembly just adds a huge amount of unnecessary weight, and in cruise increases the drag significantly. For what it gets, the tradeoff (cons) are not worth it. With that being said however, a small model for fun is possible, just not practical.

  • @RentedSpot well maybe, if the disk is shaped like 1 large aerofoil. it wouldn't be as efficient as a plane, granted, but provided that "disk" is shaped more like a wings aerofoil, it would still generate lift, provided there is enough verticles speed. think about the f-104 starfighter. the size of the wing was tiny, but it produced enough lift at high enough speeds. i dont think however, the helicopter in any of its variants will ever superceed the plane in speed, range or passenger capacity.

  • @abhiginimav the f-104 starfighter is pretty much just a rocket with wings. The "wings" are basically just for stability, and cannot really be compared to a conventional aircraft. If the engine quit on the f-104, it is dropping like a brick out of the sky, theres no gliding as you can do with a conventional aircraft. Now for this aircraft, the disk assembly, even if it was shaped as an airfoil, would be extremely heavy to contain the mechanism to extend and retract rotorblades.

  • @RentedSpot yeah i realise that. if the rotors arent any good in cruise, its dead weight. and yeah, i know the wings on the 104 are stability. this is why i dont think helos will ever overtake aircraft. the closest we are gonna get is tilt rotor, but the wings are too stuby for the same efficiency

  • looks like a frying (not flying) with 4 'Handles' for me :)))))

  • disk wouldn't work. u need air passage through whatever the wing-type u using

  • @nana101ify with angle of attack and thrust you dont need an aerofoil - the disc's attitude to airflow will create the high/low pressures required for lift. slits in the disk will destroy the surface pressure reducing lift, quite the opposite.

a flat sheet of foam can fly so yes, its completely possible, although why one would waste their time i dont know, the harrier does it with much more class :)

  • @sean12ab34cd I bet this guy is an rc pilot.

  • '

how can this helicopter flying without 4 blades

  • what is this, a flying food tray for King Kong?

  • Of course, it's so simple! An enormous, extraneous, heavy, difficult to balance, functionless, and aesthetically horrendous disk!

  • Looks like a brick, flies like a brick, has the aerodynamics of a well engineered brick

  • good

  • Didn't I see this in an Arnie film?

  • Integrate AWACs style radar and you'd really have something there.

  • A great way to prevent this plane from being built is if some schmuck patents it, and then just sits on it doing practically nothing with it.

Segway kind of did that too. I've never seen one of those in real life.

    Patents *suck*.

  • cool, i had similar concept in my art notebook. a jet helicopter.

  • Can you fry eggs on the top if it's sunny?

  • fake and gay

  • @oy9090 its cgi Smart one of cause it fake

  • its just adding weight for no reason stupid concept

  • @jimbobbyrnes LIKE YOU KNOW ANYTHING HA HA

  • oh, my, the Jetsons!

  • HA! Captured WW2 design! Old tech from the germans! Seriously!

  • so.. why would it need that disc?

And wouldn't such a large disc prevent half of the lifting power to be effective?

  • @EdTheBadass Because of its speed on the inside, the inner part of a helicopter disc does very little work. They think if they retract the blades, it can use the disc like a wing and go faster.

  • Wow. Looks like a piece of shit.

  • I like the Helicopters from AVATAR better...

  • Four seconds? Weak.

  • @jericsynergy Needs to buy bigger hard drive...

  • They already have a concept where a helicopter turns to a plane, its called the V22 Osprey

  • THATS VERTICAL TAKEOFF, THE HARRIER HAS IT, (THE ONE YOU GET IN CALL OF DUTY) no need for the chopper concept

  • the old G.I. Joe toys had something like this

  • @oldford71

Hasbro took their ideas from real world military designs. :)

  • @MikeTaylorLives thats crazy..growing i never woulda thought that..i wonder if we'll ever see any of these machines in production?

  • @oldford71 LOL!!! Exactly I actually still have one!!!! I forget the name of it..but it basically is the exact same Idea!

  • muahahahahahaha >:D

  • the disk would be a problem in aerodynamics, you would need to store it somewhere else or use it as some additional propulsion

  • no you dont

  • HOLY SHIT ITS ROFlCOPTER!

    :D

  • @louiscarr899 yay Rolfcopter :D :3

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH! ROFLCOPTER FTW! XD

  • this plane is from the movie "6 days" starring arnold.

  • @KhmerD0g and from the old cartoon and toyline called M.A.S.K. That was the coolest toy of that entire line!

  • Darn. I got bored and cut this long-ass video off.

Has anyone ever heard of editing? jeeze.

    ;)

  • @hellcatdave1 u know why? cause there are much more fixed wing aircraft then helicopters in the world lol

  • Oh yeah, I would like to see one of your precious helis break the sound barrier :O

  • @childsca OH yeah? I would like to see a F22 rescue 10 soldiers in the water..

  • Like to see your heli carry 180,000 pounds of supplies at 500mph to nations in need.

  • @childsca Some of them can

  • Show me one

  • @childsca CH-53E.... With a rope or supply inside its cargo bay. V-22 is technically a helicopter.

  • Guess again, V-22 is considered a "Powered Lift" aircraft. It is neither an Airplane nor a Rotorcraft.

On top of that, the highest lift capacity of any helicopter in the world is 44,000lbs/~20,000kg (Mi-26). The CH-53 doesn't even come close to that at 30,000lbs. Off the top of my head I can name 4 airplanes with lift capacities ranging from 170,000 to over 500,000lbs. You might as well give up, I will always be able to refute your arguments ;)

  • eh , face it. Planes are just better :)

So glad I decided to fly planes instead of veggy choppers

  • the carter copter is a better design

  • my dad invented this many years ago but the disk was the fuel tank and there would be jet engines on the tips of the rotor blades so there would be no moving parts the fuel would be sucked out by centrifugal force into a ramjet engine

  • fail concept?

  • Helicopters have a limited top speed to do with tips of the rotor blades hitting the speed of sound. The helicopter speed record is "only" 401 km/h made by British Westland Lynx helicopter. This video is probably made to point out the possibility to turn a helicopter into an airplane mid-flight. The rotor blades are folded away and after that the disc is supposed to act as a wing.

  • this video is too long.

  • @2bornot2b1984 hahahahhaahaha thats the best comment if seen

  • @2bornot2b1984 ROFL

  • @2bornot2b1984 jajajajaja

  • @2bornot2b1984 Too long?! It's 4 seconds.

  • @Coolshows101 its funny how you don't understand jokes

  • @2bornot2b1984 agreed.. clicked it away at about halfway

  • It's a roflcopter!

  • @HeavyMetal1981Fan truuuee

  • This doesnt make sense.

  • whats with the disk? Its pointles!

  • i think it acts as a wing for more lift.

  • it's for bling man! lol

  • Why don't just take a rotor that can be completely be pulled into the plane :P

  • I like the designs where the rotors don't move but the body of the aircraft rotates.

  • why not a helicopter that use jet power

  • helicopters are limited in speed because of the difference in air speed over the blades as they go around the rotor, as the vehicle moves forward. Go fast enough and it would be impossible to keep it from rolling. That's one reason these ideas remain popular (the benefits of both).

  • I wonder if its not possible to have a wide fuselage with rotors inside which may be covered or oncovered through sliding panels when the speed increases... and still have wings and jets and so on...

  • @icool001 do you know that most large heli's today use jet engines for propulsion aka turboshaft engine

  • I can make a video like this from a pc program and morons can believe it actually works. Great job, dumbasses!

  • It's a cartoon video, show me the real one that can actually fly.

  • totally bernoulli!

  • I like the concept. Could it be used with scimitar-shaped blades as well? These might swivel out from the rotor disk, rather than having rotors that linearly thrust out as shown in the video.

  • it cannot fly anyway

  • gyroscopic propulsion, look it up.

  • I'm very veery confused but not by the video, but at how many fucking retards there are out there, why is this funny, they are not saying that it exsists or that its a ufo or anything just a post of a rotary craft consept, do any of you have a clue???? Thee are hundreds of consepts fo cars planes and other craft/vehicles every year all over the world, what could posibly be funny about this video, GROW UP!!!!

  • lmao.. yes, agreed.. rampant cluelessness abounds :)

but to cut thru the crap, just 'look up' gyroscopic propulsion. heh heh heh..

  • Transformers! ROFLCOPTER IN DISGUISE!! LMAO XD

  • so what does the disc actually add that is any use or advantage?

  • Oversized Cd... >_>

  • nice, its just like the whispercraft from 'the 6th day'

  • i was just thinking that lmao.. just need to put a scram jet on it and it'll be fine :P

  • the knifes ran away with the plate...poor spoon

  • rare(hoodrat dog caught on video- come and see the real deal, and not a fake hoodrat plane!

  • I don't like it.

Less efficient then a helicopter when it's pretending to be a helicopter, and less efficient then a plane when it's trying to be a plane.

Seems like it's more of a toy for some billionaire then a mass produced item.

  • look's like a elicopter cartoon of 1980 name "mask"

  • You've got issues.

  • but it did look like a flying vagina!

  • have you ever seen one Lmfao

  • yes, they look like this helicopter concept lol

    (joke)

  • lmao

  • Total crap.

  • total crap system, no application or flight range.

  • inefficient

  • Comment removed

  • I just think that the old version might be better... If you noticed, the new propeller thing was curved at the bottom... It wouldn't get as much lift with a curved bottom like that. It wouldn't go as far but it would use much more gas. That is why this is impractical.

  • What about just using a Harrier jet?

  • I don't think it would be trying to replace the roll of VTOL airplanes, but more of the traditional helicopter that needs faster cruising. But who knows, maybe they might be a viable and better alternative to a Harrier, if the idea works at all. Only time will tell.

  • V-22?

  • just have 2 blades which then lock into a V shape and become very small wings. or just use a VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing)

  • agree

  • where did the propeler go ? lol

  • getting closer to them chopper/planes from the sixth day

  • lol thats exactly what i thought when i saw it!. sci fi writers should become engineers!

  • What about flapping-lead lag hinges? What about gyroscopic precession? It seems to me you need to do some research before you post masturbatory videos on youtube!

  • Cool

  • ugly but i guess it would be useful.

  • did you take that idea from the tmnt series? cause they had something like that lol

  • very nice the military will call you in a few days lol

  • why don't use a normal V22?

  • Could you put double magnetic routers under helicopter just small enough to change direction. Magnetic router is for better oppisite magnetic pull offering better spin gyro control.

  • it would never fly

  • Wow that's the ugliest flying thing that I've ever seen.... o_0

  • nazi did a weird aircraft like that ,the Kugelblitz..but never flew ( only in paper )

  • first of all you couldnt use your rocket boost or whatever you want to call it until u get a considerable amount of speed, and alttitude.

  • looks like that plane Miles Meyhem had in the 80's Cartoon "M.A.S.K."

  • I was thinking of that Arnold flick with the clones, but yeah. I preferred GI Joe, though.

  • yeah G.I. Joe was the Shiznit. I only watched M.A.S.K. cause it was mildly entertaining after school till the G.I.Joe. Transformers Thundercats 90 minutes timezone.

  • Indeed ! Those were the days.

  • Throw in some TMNT and you've got the best two hours of cartoons a kid could watch at the time. oha dn in some Batman Animated Series... :)
