Yay Kyle! I think Kerrbox really likes him and vice versa, he seemed genuinely sad to see him leave Bondi before (as was I!) and really happy to see him again here.
@SSKraak thongs and g-strings are the same thing for us, i've also learned from this show that in australia it's capsicum spray instead of pepper spray
lolol his face when they said lets go to the Ambulance and we got you some thongs, did he really think they would strip him and put a pair of thongs in him lolol
Ive a random question, ya know how people always say Red Bull is bad for you. I personally dont think so if in moderation, but anyways, surely if these lifeguards who are so fit and healthy choose to drink it (its in their tower) it cant be that bad
@Nikon05 The real Problem is, that it´s full of Sugar! If you´re fit otherwise...it´s perfectly ok to drink it if you have to stay focused and use up a lot of Calories => Energy....as the Lifeguards do. And of course...don´t drink 6 Cans a Day.....1 or 2 won´t kill ya ;)
i dont care how long it takes to get episode seven i can wait ...its too amazing lol and the quality on this channel is really good so take as long as you like ok =]
First of all, thank you for uploading bondi rescue every week.
Second, I was wondering if any of you know what bondi lifeguards have around there arm. Its like a little black bag, is it for safety reasons or has it something to do with the tv-show recording?
A dislocated shouled hurts sooooo bad. I had it 3 times. 2 times I relocated it by myself and 1 time a doctor in hospital did it for me ;) But it really hurts!
Why do people who can't swim go into the sea?? And then when they are rescued they act all surprised that they are being told off for going into the sea when they can't swim!!
@supertom85 being english i always get confused wen they talk about thongs, especially wen they had inflatable thongs in one ep! i had a very wierd picture in my head until i realised they meant flip flops :) x
Chill. I wasn't looking to get into a debate. It was an idle comment expressing my surprise, because entonox is the natural choice for that situation and I made the assumption that they would have access to it. I don't really care what they use; it works and they have their reasons. My response to you was simply explaining the reasoning behind my initial comment. Bad habit of mine I guess. Sorry if you thought it was arrogant.
(If I really wanted to sound arrogant I could comment on the "fully trained paramedic" trying to put that shoulder back in the hard way... But I'm sure he has his reasons too, that's probably how he was trained, and maybe it's safer than the easy way I am trained in.)
@AnonymousDiv0 it also matters what country you are in, different policies and procedures and/or the availability of pain relief. what made you seem arrogant was not that you asked the question at all, but the medical terminology that an average person (as in me not in the medical field) have to google to know what you are talking about, instead of using language that most people would understand.
I figured that anybody who didn't know what I was talking about wouldn't bother to respond. Why would somebody without knowledge of analgesic (painkiller) gasses even be interested in the merits of using "laughing gas" instead of the "green whistle"?
The first person to respond to my comment (SiskaLeen) evidently did understand, because he was able to inform me clearly that the Bondi lifeguards do not actually have "laughing gas". Which answered my question.
@AnonymousDiv0 lets just pretend i believe that your intentions were humble, because you are obviously going to defend them to the death. nice "quotation marks" btw
Thanks for thr upload! and so quick too! Nice to see Kyle back. They should do Hawaii Rescue series as well, like they did when they all went to Bali!
Really? Well, that explains why the lifeguards are using it here then. I am sure they have their reasons for preferring to stock only "the green whistle", given the specific ocean-related conditions they deal with (entonox not good for chest pain). Still, it seems a bit short-sighted of whoever is in charge of analgesic licensing/procurement not to allow them a cylinder of two of entonox on hand, even if only due to the potential for allergic reaction to methoxyflurane.
@AnonymousDiv0 given that they are professionals who update their qualifications regularly, i'm sure they check to make sure the person won't be allergic to whatever they are administering and if they were, they would not be in pain for a long time as they are quick to call for an ambulance. my guess would be that the green whistle method is disposable and more hygienic and also perhaps cheaper.
Of course they would check for allergies first, I am not suggesting that they are not competent. But if they checked and somebody *did* have an allergy, they would be stuck. As you say, lifeguards update their qualifications regularly so they're probably already trained to use entonox, and supply is the issue.
It's not a hygiene issue, entonox is administered through disposable filters. I can't speak with authority on comparative costs, but I would expect entonox to be cheaper.
@AnonymousDiv0 why are you asking this here? if it was a real question why would you not email the lifeguards directly? do you just want to sound smarter than everyone else? cause its really just coming off as arrogant
@AnonymousDiv0 Guessing you're from the States? Or the UK? If you search one of the big EMS message boards online, I'm sure you'll find elaborate discussions pro and con. I know it's a general thing in Australia: they mostly prefer the whistle over entonox, which is used quite commonly in parts of Europe and the United States. Just from a practical point of view: guessing whistle is also more handy on the beach. No cilinder to carry around...
Nah, I'm Australian. Did my analgesic gasses course recently, and entonox is the textbook analgesic for dislocations. Also I have personal experience with dislocated shoulders, and entonox was always the preference for both the paramedics and doctors in the emergency department.
I concur that portability is a valid concern for Bondi, that idea crossed my mind as well - but I still don't see why they don't have a cylinder or two at their tower. But I'm sure they know their business.
wow fast did not even get to watch the last one yet, being from the us i cant watch the show, but i got addicted to the show when i was in australia for a semester
