The 2009 American version (same producer) NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU has the same format...short vignettes. It's also wonderful...great cast-directors-writers. I've been to Paris, and I can't imagine them having "random interactions" like this, cuz they are not very open or friendly ppl.

In fact, I could have sworn some cafe waiter made a racist mock of me from afar, with his eyes (I'm Asian). I did not bring it on me--I was just at a cafe, being a customer.

I loved this film - It was like having the most wonderful delicious 20 course dinner and La Même Histoire (also translated "The Same Story") was the perfect desert to end the evening with. I was so full, I had a good cry and took a nap!
