I think the Flash header is a way better way to learn and even looks way better then just to have a html style page.

Oddly enough I was only just researching how to pick a number of random items from a large db. Quick bit of advice to anybody reading... ORDER BY RAND() doesn't scale well and is very slow on very large data sets. There is however no simple alternative. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Adam, please excuse my ignorance because I know nothing about php scripting. I noticed that you made a table for the image row and gave it some styling.

Is it possible to use css when creating a row or are tables absolutely required?

Yes you can use a div. And CSS is correctly to place the images with padding and absolute or relative positioning. Using the tables saves me the time I need to make the tutorials short enough. If I did the pure CSS versions it would require too much time explaining.
