LOVe it! What's the difference between orchestrating an arranging?

This has caused much discussion in music !

Basically ,in strict music terminology Orchestration applies to the writing for an orchestra where as an arrangement changes the original piece ( written or not) . Interestingly Swing Music is considered the cross over of the orchestrated and the improvised solo !!
