Excuse me if you have already been asked this question countless times, but did you find a transcription for this song, or did you transcribe it yourself? If so, is there a way you could upload it online somehow? It would be really awesome having more dream theater transcriptions other than those already released in Rudess' books!
@mitsubachi2 Good question, actually sometimes I download midi transcriptions from the internet, then I connect my USB to my keyboard which shows the sheet music in every separated instrument of the song, for example the guitar or the piano..., well If your keyboard doesn't have that function, what you can do is to download a software called Guitar Pro, I recommend the 5th version. It will show you the sheet music of every instrument as well, and you can print it. If you need any links tell me.
@dussan007 Hello there, again! I am buying guitar pro 6 at the end of the week and I am just wondering if all I have to do is put a keyboard midi file into it for a transcription. If so, great! One other thing: where do you get all of your dream theater keyboard midi files? Thank you very much for your help and keep up the great keyboard playing!
@mitsubachi2 well, the answer to the first question is YES! of course you only have to put the keyboard midi file! :D.....and for the second question, if you search on google there are a lot of transcriptions of dream theater but you should try shearching gp6 files, not MIDI, because they´re more flexible and its a lot easier to find a guitar pro file rather than a midi file, then in the software you could convert the file to MIDI. if you need more help just ask
What an amazing talent you have of memorizing totally different parts i'm very impressed for a guy your age and especially of you having heck of a luck of having a top-quality realistic sound expensive yamaha keyboard in front of you, i haven't seen yet before: ´'CVP-409' only from your video!!
@stereobrowser well that day I was like, oh yeah I memorized this song!, so i didn't need to use my music pad, but usually i have to...that's one reason for made the cover!, really this part of the song get me excited!! haha
its not hard to tell you sped the video up...

Hi Jordan ;)
Fosel64 2 months ago
Did you learn it by ear? I'm impressed.
PS What do you use to change the patch sounds? Did you program the pedal? I'm interested as I own a similar Clavinova :)
steelmarco 6 months ago
@steelmarco well, there was some parts I learned by midi transcription, unfortunately the midis are not very perfect as the song is.
Of course I use my pedal to change the patches. I programed the pedal with some Clavinova functions
