  • Hi just wondering if they need d3 why do u need a light if the calci power has d3 in it ?ps how jack doing

  • @gsd767 best to have the light rather than the chemicals, this way they can regulate the intake. he's doing well :)

  • i have had mine for 3ish months now i was wondering how big he should be now? and also im not sure if its a he or a she how do i tell?

  • @essentialbreath depends how big he was when you got him, but 3months he should have grown just a little bit, maybe a couple inches and fattened up just a bit... it will take some time for him to fully grow. look up some pictures online on how to tell the difference in male/female - when they are babies it is harder to tell.

  • How much do these guys cost?

  • @FattyDudley depends where you purchase from... anywhere from 75 to 250+

  • @earthling1984 wHOA they can be expensive.

  • @FattyDudley i got mine for (au)$50 but i was under the assuption he was a regular bearded dragon but i have geard that they can go for up to $500....lol but i would rather catch one then spend that much money.

  • @earthling1984 ty but i am only getting one mate do they smell like beardies and could u answer my other questions ty

  • @gsd767 those lights should be fine, but make sure to use a temp gun to check temps in cage, and raise or lower lights accordingly.

  • if i got one of these lizards would it meen it would have to have a different flooring to what it suited or is every bearded/rankin dragon the same for flooring wise?

  • can rankins dragons puff out their beards do they even have beards?

  • Im getting myself a 2yr old rankin :)

  • where did you get these little guys?

  • @PudzBug I found them online at lllreptile

  • may i comment or give my opinion, IN THEY WILD THEY LIVE ON FUCKING SAND OR DESERT RIGHT SO THEY SHOULD GET USED TO IT ITS THE NATURAL HABITAT , OK SO EVERYONE SHOULD STFU ABOUT CARPET AND SHIT SURE YOU CAN USE IT AND MABEY SOME PETS WILL DYE BUT IF U DID KNOW ALOT ABOUT GECKOS OR LIZARDS YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT TAKES QUITE A WHILE AND OBVIOUSLY IF YOU NITCE IT START EATING THE SUBRATE YOU COULD GIVE IT A DETOX WHICH IS BASICALLY MAKE THERE POO WITH THE SUBSTATE COME OUT AS IN DIAHERRA SO STFU

  • Sand is fine, there are no cases of dragons dying of it as they live on it in the wild too. My boss has been in the trade for over 40 years and has never had a dragon die of eating sand before. It is other reasons that cause the death. Sand also helps enrichment and creates a natural environment like their wild habitat. So sand if fine, if it wasn't they wouldn't live on it in the wild.

  • HI how many hours do you put the uv lghts on and basking bulb only ive bought a rankins dragon and dont no alot about them,do you treat them the same way asyou would with beardies. i have 1 pair of bearded dragons,

  • do you use any heating equipment for during the night? Also what watt and stuff are the day and night bulbs?

  • do u think i coul keep some in the biggest exo terra tank and then upgrade them? the tank is 67 gallons

  • omg the beardie did a quagmire nodding his head. giggity giggity ohh riight. 3:45

  • i heard they are aloud an odd pinkie

  • @360andmerule yes, they can have pinkies sometimes, but only once they are a lot larger than in this video. Once they are almost fully grown.

  • Haha, the bearded dragon shaking his head was cute . :D

  • @iARELiLY It agreeing with what he saying lol

  • @ReptileLuver729 they are usually harder to find. I got mine online from lllreptile, but they don't always have them in stock. Good luck finding one! They are great pets you will really enjoy them.

  • bless !!! im getting a couple of rankins in a few weeks and this video helped a lot !! =))

  • @loveXxtwilightxX :) you will enjoy them, they are great pets!

  • I use calcium sand. It is perfectly fine for them. I don't understand why people say not to use sand, when they originate from a semi - desert. lol

  • @MrsBalders calcium sand is ok. Playground sand isn't. Most people just buy any sand and some sands can be very bad.

  • Hey are the rankin dragons the ones they have all over the place in Florida? I have seen them all over the place. My wife gets so embarrassed .A grown man chasing little harmless lizards heheh. I guess it does look funny. heheh. They can tell when us Canadians are visiting Florida heheh. Do you think it`s the plaid jacket or the big guy chasing lizards that gives it away? hehe

  • @lewandlo no, I think those are geckos ;p lol

  • @lewandlo no i live in Florida i think your talking about eastern fence lizards they're similar but the blue belly markings on the males are a dead giveaway.

  • Wow a lot to know to keep them but also easy as well. Do you grow your own meal worms? A buddy of mine grows his own for ice fishing. He just put them in a small card board box with some half cut potatoes and they eat them up. Hey gr8 video thanks.

  • @lewandlo yeah, they require some stuff on their cage, but once setup they are easy to care for. I have bred mealworms and crickets. I am not currently, but I have done it :) I need to start that up again.

  • their so hard to find it sucks

  • wats the diffrent between bearded and rankins?

  • @YourFriendlyMe well they are different species, and look and act very similar. Their cage requirements are very similar(except cage size, heating and humidity and setup are about the same). They stay much smaller than beardies; they usually get about 12" maximum.

  • Really nice Dragons!(Bearded and Rankins) Where did you get them from?

  • ha the beared dragon

  • I meant eat

  • Do they set any green and if they what kinds

  • @jvaldezerry as babies/young lizards, they will eat 95% insects. As they get older, they will need veggies and fruits like bearded dragons. Lattice, grapes, strawberries, apples, raspberries, etc.

  • 3:43 Rock On! \m/( >_<)\m/

  • omg thanks long wait but it was worth it :)

  • @SanderSlashers :) sorry it took so long! Thanks for continuing to pester me about making it though!

  • i thought u had 3 rankins?

  • @ItzTabbyTime I did order 3, one died 2 days after I got them. He had what seemed to be a broken or mis-shapen arm. I took pictures and videos, and contacted the company. LLLreptile. They were VERY reluctant to do anything about it, in fact they told me he must have jumped from the rock and hurt himself, and it was my fault... Yeah... Right.... They climb just fine.. anyways, they did say they would give me a small discount on a future order... I have yet to order from them again.

  • whats the difference between them and beardies?

  • @MyFishies well they are different species. They do look and act very similar though, and they require almost the same care. They also stay much smaller.

  • cool

  • hih thats hoter then beardies kinda wierd they seem like there identical bt smaller

  • LOL @ 3:45!! "Yup, uh huh, it's the truth!"

  • nice

  • @toluca9 real nice

  • @toluca9 Thanks
