  • does this guitar have to be plugged in to play???????

  • hey does anyone know if any acoustic-electric have this type of body and neck shape?

  • Can this guitar be played without an amplifier?

  • where did you get the case, i need one bad

  • @mitchandfriend case came with it and was sold with it too.

  • is it strung like an acoustic or an electric because i hate acoustic guitar strings

  • @dbsk8r92 I had it strung with electric 11's, you could string it with either.

  • is this electric acoustic guitar?

  • @vipire It is a solid-body with chambers I believe, it has no sound-hole and a piezo bridge.

  • didn't know they made gibson versions i thought they were only epiphones

  • Hi ! the sound of that Gibson is like the Godins' steel strings Multiac. I personnally got a Godin Multiac Duet but nylon strings. I had hesitated before choosing it, cause I wanted the Chet Atkins CE/CEC (so nylon strings), and the possibility of having a volume for each string. The Godin doesn't got that, but there's 2 ways,a Piezo & a condensator mic. With the "Blend", you can have the sounds that you want, really...Your Gibson sounds well. BYE !

  • I own a black Chet Atkins SST and it rocks. They stopped production a few years ago so I will be holding onto mine... Who knows how much they will go for in 20 years... 20k sounds nice lol

  • do they still make these guitars?

  • As far as I know these are no longer made.

  • @bellrockdemos You are correct. Gibson stopped the line. I am lucky enough to have this exact model. I dont play it much because I know it will be a collecters item.

  • Epiphone has reissued them for 2010

  • @bellrockdemos Musicians Friend sells the Epiphone version for $349, it's virtually identical. I just wish one of these demos showed someone playing it right, instead of just strumming, this guitar is for more finger work, and finger-picking.

  • @bellrockdemos Actually, Epiphone makes this model now, unless it must be a Gibson.

  • It's not called the Chet Atkins any more they call it "Epiphone SST Studio". They have a nylon string version too. Pretty cool guitar...

  • no, not true. the ephiphone chet atkins and gibson chet atkins are soooooo different. gibson's CA SST goes for 1100-2500 on ebay. the epiphone is about 1/5 of that cost. the epiphone version isn't the signature version, hence the chet atkins name drop.

  • @RealDeadOne666 Now they make SST-Studio instead ! It's a Epiphone but it's cool though.

  • @RealDeadOne666 Actually yeah they do still make these guitars but epiphone i know cuz i saw it in a magazine i just got and im thinking bout buying it..they cost like $400

  • @RealDeadOne666 I believe they make an Epiphone version, but no longer in the Gibson.

  • has a great tone...

  • i own one of these, awesome action with an acoustic sound. not too hard on the eye either, yep i love it. mine is black and the finish is real thin and easily scratched

  • Its really an awesome guitar, just wish it had more finishes. There is some more colorful finishes for it, but i dont wanna spend 3,000 dollars for it though. If you can find a cheaper one that would be awesome.

  • i just bought one last night, lightly used from guitar center on their used gear website. i got the antique natural color due to the difference in the top wood (cedar) compared to the painted ones (spruce). i got it fully shipped to me for 1050. on ebay, don't pay more than 1200 for one. people think b/c they are discontinued that they are expensive; not the case. i'm saving up for a black on as well. like to use 2 of the same guitar gigging and this guitar is perfect for it. happy hunting!

  • i want it

  • Sorry this has been sold.
