  • James sure can play the fuck out of that tambourine...

  • holy shit man this guy is incredible

  • sweet choice !!!!!

  • simply epic. la brie sounds incredible and petrucci is only one half of the grizly bear he is now

  • sou fã da DREAM THEATER os mestres do progessive metal!!!

  • haha rudess haha

  • I still hope to see LaBrie doing Jesus Christ Superstar in a Rock Opera! His voice fits like a glove in that king of range.

  • I also loved how before right The Darkest of Winters he added in "PLEASE DON'T GO"

sounded epic there... and listening to old bootlegs, a year or so before it was released (VERY different, same general structure and about half the lyrics remained) it looks like he went back to those roots.

  • that 1 person that disliked this vid should go fuck himself with a burning sledgehammer. fucking stupid motherfucker

  • @Fermenton I'll remember that one. "Go fuck yourself with a burning sledgehammer."

  • what´s the name of first song?

  • @rodsbrown A change of seasons.

  • James NAILED those vocals! There was a time when I considered him fairly mediocre, but my respect for him now grows every day.

  • Great Labrie Moment! I love it when his voice is fully on!

  • Improvised Petrucci solo ftmfw

  • u guys are very good!! continue|

  • My favorite ever!!!!

  • FUCKING LOVE this part. So much emotion. Kind of like a "I don't need you for anything!" type of moment.

  • damn this video shows that James Labrie can sing live very well

  • This is one spectacular moment, love these guys. Come back Mike!

  • This is some spectacular shit!

  • Ma porko diooooooooooo !!!! It' s perfectly played, La Brie' s part too

  • I'm sick of all you hypocrites!!!!

  • change of seasons vocally isnt one of my favorite songs by them.

  • labrie has a fucking epic voice

  • Wow LaBrie is fucking awesome

  • one word EPIC

  • the best part ever \m/

  • sooo sweet!!

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS LIVEE!!! hopefully on the next tour ^^

  • yeah...

i think james's studio vocals in this part are much better...

  • @kitharistas1234

well...ALL bands have better studio vocals than live

    thats how it happens

  • @chaveznieves not all

  • @chaveznieves

If you listen to Labrie before the food poisoning, he sounded 10x more epic live.

And now it's just really good.

  • @TheeOutlaw yes im quite aware

  • 3:20 - epic tambourine solo James LaBrie

  • At 6:12 is awesome!!!

  • 1:50 onwards is the absolute crème de la crème :) 5*

  • This is one of Petrucci's best solo's. It's not technical by any means, but its perfect!

  • with all my respect there is no emotion in the singing part only scream ,, like old engine trying to start in very cold day ..

  • screaming can tell an emotion :)

  • oh yeah:)

this is one of the best part of DT lives

    amazing

  • yeah, another world is the best part of ACOS, so fuckin emotive.

  • Dream Theater fucking owns!!!!!

  • Best DT concert ever! ;)

  • best part of change of fuckin seasons

  • Change of FUCKING Seasons.

  • indeed the best part in this amazing song

  • amazing choice for the top 1 place

    its very hard to choose,

I would have choosen between this, the take the time ending solo with Labrie hitting the highest note of his carrer in tokyo 93 or octavarium ending in score.

  • The ending of Score was Metropolis... then again it was an encore.

  • yeah . so ?

I said "octarium´s" ending in Score, meaning the song, not the dvd

  • Oh, sorry, I thought you meant the way Octavarium would have ended Score, since it's one of the best shows in their career, plus the ending is one of the greatest in their catalog.

  • A period of my life I listened to this masterpiece at least 20 times a day and then I started to learn how to play it on the guitar. Just fantastic! Thanks DT!!!

  • La Brie is good at ballads, any high notes or up beat and he screams in monotone.

  • that's just fantastic !

  • If only LaBrie still sounded like that...

  • Comment removed

  • he did last night (not in a sexual way :P) at southampton - one of the best times i've ever heard him sing.

  • haha nice choice!

  • Good choice for the 1st place!

  • Most awesome voice LaBrie has here... really... wow...

  • They're better than Yes.

  • No shit, asswipe xD

  • so much better.

but if they didnt exist, neither would dream theater.

so its a two piece puzzle my friend.

  • you can't compare them. especially cause yes is progressive rock and dt is progressive metal.

  • er Dream Theater is progressive rock..

  • god the solo is so beautifull

  • Aside from the shredding, I think these guys have some awesome compositions... Almost like modern day Yes.

  • pure music m8

  • The shredding in Petrucci's solo that closes this video just completely destroys the nice flow of his soloing around it. He was playing tastefully to that progression...why ruin it?

  • i couldn't disagree with you more. i actually love that part!

  • Best Song ever!

  • Sound track to kirby, fucking pathetic. I am not a sandwich.

  • his most powerful/moving performance

  • Wow. Labrie's still great after a 4 hour show.

  • I get chills every time.

  • me too...

    this is pure awesomeness

  • same yo

  • estradasphere, yes i saw their video, thanks for sharing the experience, very good musicians! but i still prefer dream theater(DT ROCKS!) and we really shoud not compare these 2 bands as they have very different genre. love the violins though.

  • I gave it a chance, Dream Theater is definitely better by far...

  • @juggin7 better then which band? (i probably agree with you BTW)

  • why would i listen to that shit when i'm on a dream theatre video?

  • That's some intense tambourine playing right there.....

  • HAHAHAHAHA!! 3:21

  • james is the man

  • #1 Agree!!!!

  • Ah man, I love ACOS so much, but Another World more than any other bit, so powerfull...

  • Hell yeah! I'll bet your favorite line is the "I won't let them push me arooooooound!" :) So freakin' powerful.

  • push me awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy*

  • hehe, woah, you're right. I've had it wrong this whole time. Still powerful, though.

  • The best!

  • portnoy @ :09 looks so epic with that music .. fucking king

  • :'(

    so beautiful

  • "No matter what, dont let 'em be, lets feed upon his misery, then string him up for all the world to see. I'm sick and old, you hipocrite, holding me at bay, and i dont need your sympathy, to get me through the day...Season change, so can i, hold on boy, no time to cry, untie these strings, i'm climbing down, i wont let them push me away"......gave me chills.....fucking awesome

  • goosebumps throughout the whole clip ..

    so much passion ..

"Time... it may tear their flesh and skin appart, but the magic in their fingers will never fade.. Dream Theater will always be the name behind the music, they gave so much to rock discipline..."

  • James sounds amazing here...

  • wow u are just dumb..how could u say gay band...they are the best but w/e people have bad opinions somtimes..lol

  • haha i know right? Some people should just not be allowed to have opinions lol. This is my favorite song by DT, and when I buy my 7 string, the first thing i will do is learn all 23 minutes of this glorious masterpiece.

  • Haha that's exactly what I did when I got my RG7321.

  • You're obviously not a musician.....

  • That is a good point Soul, this a musician's band. Let us be and go listen to your mainstream cud.

  • You have Angels and Airwaves listed under your favorites and your calling Dream Theater losers? Ironic ain't it.

Every single one of DT members is a virtuoso at their respective instrument, and each one of them is recognized by fellow musicians as some of the best in the world (hell basically every Progressive or Metal band founded in the past 15 years has listed them as one of their main influences)

    If anything they're dreadfully underrated.

  • Excelente, de acuerdo contigo... los mejores momentos en vivo de Dream Theater...

Excelent!!!! I'm agree with you... one of the best moment of Dream Theater's live performance...!!!!

  • I think this is one of James best performances.. The first time I heard it on the Live Scenes From New York cd it literally gave me the chills

  • He's at his worst on that CD. He really struggled with his voice at times.

  • Yeh he had a seizure at the time of Falling into Infinity till Scenes :(

  • John Petrucci that is, not Myung (even though his bass playing is great as always).

  • Man, I love John's tone on this song. That slide at 2:34 sounds amazing.

  • lol i just bought the CD with the twin towers burning at best buy

  • Can someone please tell me which part of Change of Seasons this is? thanks alot...

  • It's V. Another World

  • Thanks very much, just listened to the whole thing and this has to be the best section..! Cheers man.

  • Carpe Diem gets a close second, though.

  • I agree, this song is my all time favorite song

  • a very underated moment in DT history

  • hell yeah !!

    dream theater is the best!!

  • change of seasons best part, imo :D

  • awesome moment, yes sir.
