Some I like better in one language, some not... I think it's the best Tales dub so far (Symph's was meh for most chara and I didn't like Abyss's at all save for one).

I wish there was a dual language option, that way I could see both when I want xD

1) Geez, I can't help to hear "Sacred PENISH" instead of "Sacred penance", the flash sound from the attack right at the end makes it so easy to mishear...

You know.. the English VA's sound better. The males sound like they have testicles that dropped, and they don't use the Engrish mystic arte names (which yes I understand they use the foreign language to make it sound more magical).. and unlike bad dubs in the past.. the English VA's actually sound pretty intense and into what they're doing rather than sounding plain and boring.

Meanwhile.. the Japanese VA's LOSE intensity when they have to focus on trying to say the English skill names without accent (which they fail at horribly).. they say it slowly and deliberately and it loses effect.

Well that won't happen. Tales games have never have dual language options nor will they ever. Your best bet is to import the Japanese version.

Ha. I just realized something. During the Japanese Hi-Ougi's, the Gauche and Droite boss battle music is playing, but during the U.S. Mystic Artes, "Undying Resolve," the third battle music, is playing. :P You'll notice the difference if you listen REALLY closely... Undying Resolve has a higher pitch to it. Can anybody else hear it, or am I just crazy? ^_^;

We have Stahn for this. And Judith's battle voices in NA is terrible. The localization team was very limited at that.

I must say: While in English, "Moon" cannot link with things without sounding weird; it links really well with Kanji imo, since it is always one Kanji, mixed with 4 others, while in English, you cannot do more than one.

What I don't get is Flynn's Kouryuu Metsugasou. Literally, that'd translate to Radiant Dragon Lance. Yet he uses a sword. WTH is that?

Lance doesn't necessarily mean a spear of some kind. A lance drives forward with its point, which the dragons Flynn fires out do. They drive into the target, in which case is always Yuri.

I can't deny that I do prefer Japanese VA usually. But, In my defense, it's like a new and interesting thing compared to the language you hear everyday. Don't mistake me for a weeaboo; just someone who prefers Japanese VA. Though, the NA voice acting is very good, oh and I'm probably reacting like that because I only own the JP version of Vesperia, haha.

Agreed. Some are better than others, but overall probably the best voice-acted game in English so far that originated in Japan.

I'm about 50/50 when it comes to liking Jpn/Eng voices. I think now that I can actually understand more of what they say has influenced how it sounds to me, so there's no "exotic" sound to it for me if there ever was one.

At any rate, I think the best English voice clip is from Tyson's Infernal Lord. It's so rare to see an English VA actually project more spirit and force in his attack chants than his Japanese counterpart.

I tend to be more 50/50 as well. I just get sick of all the unneeded flack English VAs get; it's starting to just seem like the "cool thing" to bash them whenever something gets dubbed.
