  • @Misha24156 Hi i answer both these questions in the video. Ronnie Sunshines is where i got the stone.

  • 4800p

  • Wow, what a great 720p video, oh wait, ITS IN 480p???

  • i watched this vid again just for the awesome quality

  • what's the purpose of the stone being wet? What difference does it make?

  • This video is perfect!

  • lol, wtf, u sound like the geico gecko...

  • Amazing quality!!! Could you tell us, which video equipment you use?

  • @boots4boyz The Panasonic GH1

  • pause @0:39 looool

  • stop the video at 39 seconts lol! nice quality video! better then some tv shows

  • "I'll be breaking this in tonight... in the snow... somewhere in Derbyshire."

    That was somewhat ominous.

  • Cheap and good: a mill bastard file to rough in edge, then, a wet or oil stone to hone it, and you can get shaving edge.

  • im amazed right now

  • Question for you. As you use the hatchet and maintain its edge, does the profile of the blade, or rather the size/shape of the bit change or "wear down" as you sharpen it, or does the edge stay in the same place roughly? im just wondering if it wears away the length of the blade over time, or if it maintains its size and profile. Thanks

  • Finaly a video that answered my question on how to sharpen an axe....

    Thanks man...

  • that is beyong dout the best quality video on you tube Oo how the heck lol??

tip for you for a better than original finish try gluing an old belt (rough side up) to a bit of wood covering it in autosolve and useing it like a file on the edge of your axe strops it and mirror polishes it looks wonderfull.

  • @lyndon2472 Thanks for the tip! :)

  • Haha mate you are hilarious, awesome vid and your camera is ridiculously good quality, I think I'll sub when I get off my iPod and on my laptop :)

    Cheers

    Adam

  • I swear, this could totaly be a commercial-

  • Good stuff. A hatchet is probably the most essential tool for anyone venturing into the woods.

  • You looked so intense at the start of the video that you startled me. LOL

    Nice vid, though.

  • Great video!! At 1:17 "If you just want to top your axe-head UP" is freakin great

  • up next! How to sharpen a pencil!

  • EXCELLENT video quality!

  • I was distracted from the purpose of the video because the quality was so freakin good!! what camera is that???

  • Your camera is awesome.

  • I think it's in the comments down below.. The Panasonic GH1

  • Your video has AMAZING quality! what camera did you use to shoot this?

  • aggreed what camera did you use to shoo this vid?

  • aggreed what camera did you use to shoo this vid?

  • how much was that axe and where did you buy the sandstone?

  • @AsusGamerBoi £40 and i got the stone from the same place.

  • @Documentally My grandfather teached me in 1960 how to catch FREE stones in the rivers...if I were there I could teach tha same to you. There are 5 types of stones for a good work; one must use them in order for the first time. Then the last two or three stones are sufficient. For razor blades it is better to use a FREE sort of mud that in Italy we call 'argilla' on a leather belt in the last step. The problem is that one must know what sort of stones and mud has to catch in the rivers..hi!

  • @AsusGamerBoi It was probly over 100 dollars grandsford bruks is a very expensive hand forged axe you can get about the same quality from wetterling tho for about 77 dollars

  • Can you do this while sitting on the toilet ?

  • He kind of sounds like bear grills.

  • Thanks for desplaying Ronnie website it really helps People out when trying to fine a Great Product..Rod

  • Might want to note that any time you sharpen or use the axe to make sure to oil it after use. This prevents rust and corrosion from weakening your edge.

  • i got a question, are all gransfod bruks axes hand forged? im really lookin into buying one and i want to kknow

  • how much did that run you in USD?

  • @firebeaver39 No Idea in USD. sorry. But as it comes from Scandinavia i imagine it's not too much different. You will have something similar made in the US for sure.

  • @firebeaver39 go to lee valley... its 45$ can.(our dollar is like 5 cents apart from the states..)

  • Thanks for the video - Good advice and very nice hatchet.

BTW you look like Bruce Dickenson from Iron Maiden!

  • can you use that stone to sharpen a knife too?

  • @TimandRyder96 Yes i don't see why not.

  • @TimandRyder96

    abrasives arent tool specific

  • Good video and nice camera, you look like a top notch bloke (even with an axe!)

  • Amazing video and camera!

  • if you have a thicker axe blad would you need to use a file?

  • I got it off the internets.. Same place as the axe.

  • Where did you buy that sharpening stone and do you know where i can get one considering the fact that i dont live in the UK ?

    Thanks :)

  • Your sense of humour is hilarious. I think a bushmoot with you would be better than going to see a stand up comedian!

  • That's.. beautiful. what camera do you use to record your videos?

  • @moaz1113 it's the panasonic GH1.

  • that was a great line to split the atom i Lol'd for real
