How is Jedi Guardians as dps? I want to play a Jedi Knight DPS but I hate having 2 lightsabers I think it's so much cooler with 1 so I was wondering if Jedi Guardians are going to be bad DPS:ers and looked down on?

@andree1001 from what I hear they're fine. But my tip: go ahead and choose it if you like it. It might be weak now, it might be OP. Either way, that will change. Sometimes your chosen class will kick ass, sometimes it'll get nerfed to hell. No matter what class/AC/spec you choose, this will happen in an MMO.

@andree1001 Gaurdians have a DPS role. If you have played WoW, it is similar to the warrior 2h dps

Thatsright Isric just keep saying surrender. Im sure it will work eventually. And you to comandeer Narlock just keep saying victory or nothing. That will help us win. Not like you should shoot the imperials or anything

@ChillyDawg219 they do not. Jedi Guardian is tank/dps and Jedi Sentinel is dps only.

@ChillyDawg219 dps? its an acronym "Damage per second" people use it to label classes that only deal damage in fights. along with actually labeling your parsed damage averaged by seconds, it just depends on the situation. In this case I was meaning that the Jedi Sentinel was a strict damage dealing class.

@ChillyDawg219 They are optional but it is best to do them as there is better gear and its good experience.

@ChillyDawg219 Most of the flashpoints start at fleet stations. As of right now in the beta you kinda need to just know what lvl they are and where to get the quest at, but for the first on each faction the guy is right in your path to getting to your capital planets. For release I hope there is more direction for the masses that haven't been blessed with beta access, but if not there are already several sites competing to be the "wowhead" of SWTOR which will have a list of the for you, I hope.

Not to be rude, but isn't the Consular class missing the point by going Melee-crazy?

@2Scribble not if they plan on going Shadow AC. Most people build up their characters before they get to level 10 for their AC. For example my own Consular is going Shadow with melee and cast DPS so I'll need to build it up like that before hand.

I never understood why people spam the crap out of the hotkeys like this guy spamming one over and over again. It's pretty easy to see when you can actually use the ability... Just trying to mow your fingers down to nothing maybe?

@Chak6907 Spamming hotkeys ensures that your abilities go off right when the GCD is up, look at the vast majority of skilled players and you will see they spam their hotkeys.
