I really wish the whole album was as good as this track. Brian Blade is just a phenomenal drummer and this is one song that can make you remember just how important a good drummer (in this case an excellent drummer) is to a band/song.

I'd say lanois sounds like edge in this particular song/recording. His usual style is a bit different I feel; more clean, dynamic, and kinda sloppy (in a good way)
