Some people must think FF had too much too soon. After all, their first album apparently is their most successful. Meanwhile, Muse, KOL & so forth are "finally" stars because they supposedly paid their dues. FF members actually had been playing in separate bands for years before things started taking off for them as a group. Oh, wait - that's it: Franz are too old to be popular now. Who needs them when we have stars like Taylor Swift?

Even if Franz may finally have a new album in the pipeline, the world has changed trememously. Superficiality has taken over once again.

Muse are finally a hot brand after so many albums not only because they supposedly paid their dues, but also because Matt Bellamy has become Kate Hudson's lover/partner. Katy Perry has become a star not only because she's involved with a fellow celeb, but it's also because she's NOT brainy & challenging like Franz are.

yeah many old fans say that. i think it's true that it's different to the others like with more electric effects, sometimes too much (eg lucid dreams. the last three minutes are horrible oO). so it becomes less dancing-indie-rock which made them very special. it's another kind of music, but i wouldn't call it mediocre because it's still very own special kind of music.
