  • The high hats (HH) can get lost when they are panned hard left or right.

It is best to listen to the track in mono first or try uploading it in HQ. That way the stereo mix is respected and you won't lose the original sound / instruments.

Excellent track btw ;-) keep it up!

  • Thanks for the tip Mark. I'll keep it in mind next time I put something up here.

  • Great track, not need for criticism, sounds like you know what you're doing. I like the fact that you use old digital synths here instead of modern stuff. They sound great. I also have D50 and DX7 but I don't use them enough. Maybe now I will.

    Is the bass D50 btw?

  • Thanks twelvebits. The bass is from the Novation Bass Station. I forgot to mention it in my list.

  • again very clever with lots of ideas goin on - had a great time listening to it - thought some pads would be nice (occasionally) and a strong hook melody sometimes (loved the synth lines at circa 4:00 min's) - but hey that would maybe all just spoil your unusual style - so just ignore what I say & keep making great music - I think it's clever & brill

  • Thanks again kipp0man.

  • This kind of reminds me of your "failed rave". Like you had a club song in mind when you began but could't help but explore a more melodic sound. This may just be my perception but I think it's because the two sounds are literally seperated. At 1:40 the beat drops, melody builds, then at 2:08 you drop the melody and go to club beat. At 6:17 it feels like you are able to finally merge the club beat and baseline with a more melodic tone. 6:17 to the end is great stuff! The rest doesn't fit.

  • You've hit the nail on the head thedrnailsguy (no pun intended). Whenever I try to make a club type track I start off well and then go off on my own thing and ruin it. I find it hard to stick to genre 'rules' even when I'm trying to.

  • I recognize that all too good, i mean i usually end up the same way when trying to make trance, techno, club or whatever, it starts out ok, then i mess it up. LOL

I guess thats where u get to make something that "is you" rather than more or less just rearrange what others have come up with.

I like the sound of this, its deffo not like "what u hear every day" and yet its not just different, its still good to listen to. :-)

  • Thanks SizZ1eR

  • this is a HIT!!!

  • Thanks hipnotron. This time next year I'll be a millionaire. Then again, maybe not.

  • I think it is very good job .

  • My first ever response and it's a good one. Thanks Schnevern
