EV's increse your pokemons power EX. say you fight a pokemon with high sp. defense you'll gain sp. defense on that pokemon hope it helped you can also do yhis with other stats too

Every Pokemon you battle gives you an EV pt in it's dominate stat(Geodude=defense). Every 4 of those points equals 1 extra stat pt(4 dead Geodudes=1 defense point) and the total amount of EV pts you can have in one stat is 252 making it an extra 63 stat points in defense.

I'm told (have a few friends with the game) that all of the pokemon (rented or otherwise) have altered stat caps and some of the mechanics are different from the main game to help better promote balance. That's why some typically stronger pokemon seem like they get ruthlessly owned.

Most people who want to play competitively do. I'm sure that it would only be the base stats that are altered, having capped EVs would still give you the same degree of advantage over an untrained pokemon of the same species.

Oh yeah, and I can't wait for this game. There isn't an adventure mode in it, which makes it kinda like a Pokémon Staduim 3 kind of feel. It's too bad there's no minigames, though.

Unique moves are always an accet. in theory, a Kingler with Rock Slide can Pwn Zapdos. You don't have to make all the moves the same as its type.

It is a great move for kingler, but i'm saying if you give it rock slide, (or even better, earthquake) it can take out flying and thunder types eaisier.

You should've changed to Torchic right of the bat of the second battle. With a name like "Bihivu" it doesn't take long to relizes its a bug-type.
