I do not criticize those that are divorced or are in the process thereof. I am divorced (wish it did not happen) and I was shocked at how easy it was and the total cost to my wife.

Very true and very good. Not something you feel; but something you do. I am in my first marriage almost 25 years later; still very much in love. Can't say we never had problems.

Divorce may be wrong, but it is not the impardonable sin. I have spoken with many, many are hurting. My wife was married and divorced before.

I just got a divorce and Don Francisco is one of mentors.

1. This song, although I failed the true standard, is speaking truth. Truth is truth no matter who is proclaiming it. If you failed to stay faithful (and you ask for forgiveness) you wouldn't tell your teenage daughter a different standard because you failed.

2. The person who placed the cute starbursts probably had the same intent even though it came across as judgmental.

I am going through divorce now and it is awful. But you cannot save something unless both people want to put the work in. To make comments as though people wish to go through it, is totally ignorant.

Oddly, when I first heard this song, the "ring on your finger" didn't bring to mind a marriage ring. The first "ring" I thought of that fit the rest of the song was the power ring of the Green Lantern Corps. Think about it, and you'll see that it fits the lyrics. Not the singer's original intent, but it still works.

This song and the wisdom it contains speaks on so many levels beyond that of the divorce issue. God bless Don and the ministry and any who hear this song. Shame that the video images disappeared though but thank you anyway for not removing it. God bless : )
