Colin Cowherd has such a lack of radio talent it blows my mind every time I hear that he still has a syndicated show. WAKE UP ESPN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Colin is an infommercial voice that has NOT ONE original opinion. His show is formulaic at best, and consists of a clown voice giving us lessons on how to get sports radio ratings along with STUPID, uncreative comparisons about 'the hot girlfriend, ex-girlfriend etc etc etc', from a CLEAR contrarian. Give me Doug Gotlieb ANY day.
He's right sadly....it is true baseball is set up for large market teams to succeed but Pittsburgh's way of running things is just as bad for baseball as what the Yankees do. Sadly, they have a proud franchise and it was once a great baseball town...their fans deserve better
and look at all the good players theyve had and traded away for nothing, the most famous is aramis ramirez, we traded him just when he started to break out and got 2 AA players from the cubs who could never even make it up to the pirates, real nice, the pirates front office is run by a bunch of children, its a shame they have the nicest stadium in all of baseball, the only reason i go anymore is to see the other teams and their star players, its a shame ill never see one in a pirates uniform
i guess if ur not from here then u wouldnt understand how sad it is, the pirates ownership is pathetic. the biggest acquisition theyve made in the last 15 years is trading for 35 year old matt morris, he was so bad that he couldnt even make it in the pirates rotation for more than 1 full year, o and they took on his $50 million salary, the only free agents theyll sign make the pirates look like an old timers game, joe randa, matt stairs, jeromy burnitz and it goes on and on
the same number as any other city would have haha
dont act like only a few cities do that, if anything pittsburghs more loyal than most bc even in the 80's n 90's when the steelers werent great they were still selling out and how many teams can say that?
taking bets on the number of people in the pittsburgh area that will come out of the woodwork and be lifelong pirates fans when they become good again
bullshit the Pirates have had horrible FO people since they won those strings of pennets... it was a poor decision to announce on a Monday... I'm a Pirate fan but alot what he says is true. Just because you are a Pirate fan doesnt mean anytime someone critcizes our team its not a true statement...
Bullshit - the Pirates have good baseball people littered throughout their system - baseball is set up for rich teams to have success for long periods of time.
Yeah, it's both but it's more of their front office. Baseball's not like other sports in that you can't buy success. Dbacks, Rockies, and Rays have all made runs in recent years and had probably less than half the payroll of NY and Boston. To win in baseball you've gotta find team chemistry more than anything and hopefully get hot at the right time.
Wrong - the DBacks, Rockies, and Rays are exceptions to the rules. They have a blip on the radar, but they cant sustain it because they have to be perfect decision making from their minors to the majors - the Red Sox and Yankees can make mistakes all day long and still be competitive - Baseball sucks - it needs a total overhaul starting with a hard cap.
Sadly the pirates have been a joke since 1979. They have become the AA farm team to the rest of the league. What they need is a Mark Cuban type guy to come in , buy out the loser owners,, and revamp the entire network. Until then i might as well manager the pirates. I wouldnt cost more than 25G and a 6 pack a home game. What a deal. It could happen?!
He didn't say it was important, he was just making a joke. Anyhow I just watched this again and I didn't really remember seeing it (though I responded earlier). Awesome work on video!! Great pictures and excellent sounder you picked out.
Hey hey I missed this somehow, though I knew of the story it can't be as bad as A-Rod opting out and craaawliiing back haha check my just added Herd= MLB Instant Replay video.

Does Pittsburgh even care about the Pirates? If I had the Steelers, I know I wouldn't.

Now New Years Eve is important? He spent 5 minutes in another segment ripping Rex Grossman for his comments about New Years Eve.
