Out of Africa is the quintessential perfect movie. Cinematography, score, direction, sound, editing, casting, acting, continuity, props, locations, Meryl Streep!
Two things to support the obvious here: The sound, or the lack of it, in the scene where Karen is approached by a lion and backed up by Denis. You can hear the sound of the breeze in the grass, and it's synched with the movement of the grass, so it wasn't edited in! Meryl Streep's Danish accent is absolutely perfect. I'm Danish!
"A glimpse of the world through god's eye." fantastic idea to cut these two scenes together. and I very much like the dialogue: "Where did you buy it?" - "Mombasa!" - "When did you learn to fly?" - "Yesterday!" :-))
Its like something you'll see in a final fantasy game lol. The great skies, you soaring through the clouds with your ragnorok... Heading to your next destination... Deng... Nice feel to this scene....
I just love the film so much and the soundtrack is absolutely perfect. Robert and Meryl are amazing together. It's probably my favourite scene in the whole film <3
The mood at 4:39 is what I want to see in the eyes of everyone I take up there :)
