  • Now perhaps an agnosticism a la Vince Bugliosi's variety will emerge stronger.

  • I just wanted, somewhere, to leave a message about my loss wrt Christopher.

Great thinker, writer and speaker. Love to his family. x

  • The relevant message here:

Don't drink like a fish and smoke like a chimney- or you will end up looking like you just had an enema.

Exercise, get your sleep, eat nutritious food , don't smoke and drink moderately

  • Ironic isn't it that Kim Jong Il died less than a week after Hitch did. Cheers Christopher. I'll miss you.

  • @tbdonnelly67 lol, at least now im over hichens and can joke about them finally having a dictator that can reach the nuke button

  • in memory of you i shall hich slap every bible thumper who calls me a faggot

  • @1C9J9S5 Indeed!

  • He knew that this life is not a dress-rehearsal.

  • Dear man, precious man, what I wouldn't have done for you to know the unfailing love of Him Who gave His all for you; only to be outspokenly rejected by you time and time again. Christians around the world mourn your death with a more bitter heart than any of your friends could know. Oh, Christopher!

  • @biancaarielle What believers take to be the divine is what Socrates (another atheist) referred to as his "inner daimon" - the innate instinct for doing that which supports well-being. You need not mourn that he missed hearing The Voice; we all hear it. While believers think they hear the voice of one ego, atheists understand we hear the heartbeat of the universe - the cycle of birth and passing away; the web of causality and the weeping joy of tenderness. We see and hear very well, thank you.

  • A great loss..I became a bit emotional when I read the news..

  • Sad sad sad loss. So hard to see him suffer. Thank you Mr. Hitchens. Thank you for posting this.

  • Atheism has lost its perhaps sharpest and most eloquent voice.

    You'll be greatly missed, Hitch!
