  • I always wonder if Hilter like Rommel very much at the time, becasue he was sent to Africa to fight a war which apparently have no stragetic importance. Otherwise, Rommel would have been the leader of spearhead of the upcoming operation barbarossa, which is more decisive to the whole war.

Could we focus on the parents who actually understand what the radio is saying please? Rose is unable to understand the things going on in the world.

  • 1:00

If there's something I hate about this series is how they aim for cheap sympathy by talking about Rose. Rose isn't brave, she's a child. She has no clue what's going on around her. Soldiers who are fully aware of their predicament and risk death are brave.

  • but he wasen't anti-semetic. Rommel found out about the genecide against the jews and was disgusted!. as i said he was a career soldier. that's all he really wanted to be.

  • i have to correct my self, rommel WAS a nazi. he was a member of the nazi party. and he did cammand the beglight battalion which was a larger part of the beglight cammando which was HITLER'S close 8 man escort the SS, that guarded Hitler around the clock.

  • @dayypoo

Don't know where you got that from, Rommel never was a member of the NSDAP.

    Source?

  • that's right rommel was not a nazi. he was a soldier, and a career general.

  • So much bullshit made up propaganda against the Germans. This series doesn't mention the Danzing Massacre in which thousands of ethnic Germans were butchered by the poles, neither does it mention the 60 million people Stalin butchered, and the fact that Hitler invaded Soviet Union because Stalin was building up his forces on the border with Germany.

  • 11:26 Hahaha look at Hitlers eyes! He's like "Sigh, not heiling again..."

  • Today's American Army is copying the same as the Germans did in WW2 besides killing the Jews. Look when they went to Bagdad it was call Blizkieg "Lighting Warfare) the same kid of weapons are even use from the German MG42 machine/M60 American. Look at the Nazi helmets/Americans wear them now & so on. My dad fought in 3 wars for this country, but on my mom's side I had 2 uncles in the who fought for Germany in the 1st SS & 6th Panzer. Which I'm very PROUD of them I even have there belt/buckel

  • @staples1962 The m60 isnt in use in the U.S. army for quite a while now it was replaced by the m240 which also has the smaller 5.56 version or the m249 SAW.Also really rommel wasnt a Nazi.

  • Erwin Rommel was a true hearted NAZI, but he was against the killing of the innocent & the Juden.

  • @staples1962 Rommel was not a Nazi. Look it up.

  • Rommel was a NAZI all the way til the end. That's why he had nothing to do with the murder of Adolf Hitler. Like his disloyal Nazi leader's. Under torture some of his close adjutants said his name to safe there name. That's why the Greatest Panzer Field Marshal (General) took poison. Read up on your history (DrNOs) you idiot.

  • Rommel was not a nazi

  • Well that's funny how they adamantly present Rommel as a true nazi, there's another documentary on youtube highlighting Rommel's disgust when discovering the final solution is applied within Germany and saying something like this 'They'll never forgive us for this crime.'

  • Hitler wasnt scared of anyone except the united states. He had the greatest modern army in history. He knew and could have conquered the world. It all came down to one mistake. The post poned invasion of Russia. If he launched Barbarossa at the original date i would be writing this comment in German.

  • Barbarossa postponement was not Hitler's mistake but rather Mussolini's invasion of Greece. This caused a change in Yugoslav government who now rejected agreements giving Germany access through Yugoslavia to set up staging areas for the invasion of Russia. Now Greece was a belligerent Hitler had to invade Greece to secure his flank. Yugoslavia had to be subdued to provide staging areas for the invasion. Postponement was not Hitler's fault His only mistake was the choice of a buffoon as an ally

  • @anfony22 he seemed scared of what the soviet union might become

  • @anfony22 Not quite. The Russian roads were not ready for transport till the middle of June. The lost 3 weeks was, as AJP Taylor states, a myth which allowed the German generals to excuse their defeat by the Soviets. That's the real history on that.

  • Hitler was shit scared of CHurchill

  • @imaginator sure
