The war on drugs is a war that never ends. Just like the war on poverty. The war on domestic violence. The fact that drugs will always be abused is not the point, and it is a fallacious argument to make.
Weed keeps black people poor and aids being disenfranchised. Smart blacks do not smoke weed, and have greater chance at being successful. For a reason. The small percentage of black entertainers that have gotten rich while smoking dope are fooling young black and white kids.
Say what you want, but there is practically no money in legalization for the state. Alcohol is not like growing a weed. There would be pot plants all over California, growing wild, in yards where kids will get at it much much easier. All it would do is reduce productivity and increase mental disorders. Just realize you are part of a subculture and stop trying to infiltrate and rig the system to cater to your addictions.
@Thisisnotmyrealname8 How dumb do you sound knowing California made well over 18 mill just on sales tax for consecutive years. Multiply that number by 49 other states and thats your money right there. Everybody already knows blacks were disenfranchised far earlier than when weed was introduced and your racist ancestors can take the trophy for that. You obviously have no issue at all with the idea of coming home from after a long days work and drinking alcohol. Do U H8 black people or something?
Prohibition of any kind, never works. Especially for such a high demand product. The supporters of the drug war must being using harder drugs than pot to rationalize their decisions. Lets give mexico back its country!!!!
Yeh or nay?? PLEASE spread the word on California's Prop 19 Bill coming up in November! Right now, a MAJORITY of state citizens are for LEGALIZATION. Peek this Al Jazeera show this Thursday. It's time to STOP the MADNESS -- whether u are against "some drugs." Over 28,000 people have been killed in Mexico over the past ...6 years because of cannabis (marijuana) being illegal.
California residents, you have the chance to be the first group of people in the world to legalize marijuana for responsible adult use. When you go to vote on prop 19, take a friend with you. Drag one other person with you. If everyone does this we get double the votes!
Then, find someone who is against pot legalization and convince them to stay home that day. Tell them something great is on the TV that day, buy them tickets to a show, anything guys
Having negative street bahavior due to pot is better than having the one due to alcohol. By legalizing marijuana, there will be a redistribution of drug use from alcohol towards pot, which is a good thing, since pot is nowhere as toxic as alcohol. As a result of this redistribution, the negative street behavior of alcohol will partly be replaced, which is even better.
its all about competition, and the alcohol companies want as little as possible. So they go and fund all that anti marijuana propaganda you see on tv.
@imthejoker4u2 There are somethings money can't buy. The people's decision to know what's right or wrong. The more people that find out about alcohol and tobacco companies fueling this anti marijuana nonsense, just to keep the competition down, the more they know who the real immoral criminals are. Once we get those votes only fate will decide. I'm excited for this upcoming election. It's my very first one.
Its clowns that support prohibition that keep a country down follow the cash. They are all greedy little bastards that would love to be a dictator and bring terror on us all.
How are we going to deal with this, and how are we going to deal with that! As if nobody in CA is smoking pot now and they will be ready to light up if the bill passes. Marijuana is the number one cash crop in CA right now. Legalize and tax it.
It truly takes a case of brain damage to believe prohibition of marijuana can ever work. If prohibition can make all the marijuana go away then let's ban poison ivy too!
@GunOwnerDan exactly. cannabis even gets its way into the highest security prisons.cannabis prohibition is like banning fast food and sharp edges. they might as well pass a law where everyone wheres a helmet at ALL times. let the individual take some responsibility we don't need a parental government.
@GunOwnerDan how dumb are you ? seriously like common that's not Evan what there talking about........PEOPLE fight over drugs and get arrested for not hurting anyone its affect society and how people view the police that enforce there towns. You know how drugs cost a lot and people like to get rich quick and that's a easy way to do it "ex. cocaine 80$ a gram"
and it comes from drug lords probably in Mexico or some shit and on another note people who make meth....BOOOOM ps. Meth is bad

Pete Dunbar 1:46 "negative street behavior" is when people "...continue to purchase marijuana and make poor decisions..."
Sounds tragic. I like the "continue to purchase marijuana" part. As in tax revenue?

cannabis use will go up and it should its the safer alternative.

60% damn I never realized it was that high of a percentage, that alone is reason enough to legalize.
