The song is supposed to be demonstrated to Tartini in his dream, by the Devil himself. If you were to listen to the full version, you will understand why it's called the Devil's Trill. Chilling! Nice video though, and you actually spoiled some of the FMV for me. lol.
Just so you know, "The Devils Trill" isn't by Vanessa Mae. She may have been performing it in the recording you used but it is actually by Giuseppe Tartini (an Italian Baroque composer) who composed the piece around 1749 (with some variance on the exact year depending on which source you refer to).
The original Devil's Trill was written by Tartini; in fact Vanessa Mae's version really only plays the first couple of measures of one of the movements over and over again.
