  • @gtownland77 he's Australian or new Zealand not British

  • Where are you Rob?

I don't want to unsubscribe from ya!

  • DADT did have one, and only one benefit. It allowed GLBT service members to get an administrative discharge when they were outed instead of a dishonorable discharge. A dishonorable discharge can be like having a criminal record when applying for jobs. I think that you might lose benefits too. You don't get those negatives with an administrative discharge. Thank God that GLBT will be able to serve openly on Sept 20th.

  • WOW it always amazes me how interested Brits are about American politics, We couldn't give a toss about yours hahahaha

  • i want you inside of me

  • You have facebook?

  • Get your facts right dude he is BARRY SOETORO and the guy appears to be a fraud and has the lowest approval rating in US history ever as president.

  • @biasply77 You dare write "Get your facts right" while writing lies in the same sentence?! Birther filth.

  • @mosesanderson7 Haha, where're you from where everyone is accepting of everyone else? I would love to move there! There are bigots everywhere. Everyone just pays more attention to what's going on in the US. And. . . I think it's ok to complain about and want to eliminate both terrorism and bigotry at the same time. :)

  • A good video. The DADT has seemingly effected people from all walks.

  • Thanks for your info

  • Hey cutie I'm in the US military just a heads up even through it was repealed it may take some time for it to go into effect probably over a year. Also the incoming congress in January 2011 could possibly repeal the repeal with the new congress being a majority of republicans its possible by February DADT will b in full affect again

  • Thanks for the Holiday Greetings..Your gift is way kewl..I have delt with being outed and Kicked out the service for being gay and bullyed. It sucks, very drpressing.for my career/life being ruined. Its hard to pickup the peaces and start again..I hope that it gets better for the ppl in the service now that are gay. As for gay marriage..I have a idea..If gays CANT marry then married ppl CANT get divorced!! So enough of the ranting..You have a good holiday..and great new year. your good looking.

  • Nawww best birthday card EVER! It makes up for you being a sell out.... :P

  • i like how america is changing, brits had a low opinion of americans just about 5 years ago but now were intrigued as to whats gonna happen to the country

  • Oh hey there! Nice to see you again :) And thanks for the update. Happy holidays!

  • Happy Holidays!

  • Happy Holiday to you....

  • This is why I love Obama! Democrats rule and I hope they come back in full force in 2012!!! Equality for all and may our nation become stronger with the passing of this law! =3

  • Your card was creative. Nice job!

  • Hopefully this will lead to the passing of same sex marriage. People should not have to compromise their professional or personal life because of their sexuality. Too many bigoted heterosexuals worry their mind with others sexual orientation.

Thanks Rob and Happy Holidays to you too. enjoy :3

  • Rob, I don't see enough of you, so this is a special treat. You do a great job with these updates. I hope you and the Boif have a great Christmas.

  • lov you xx

  • I do the same thing with magazines...The feel the weight of them...If its put together in a new way. I get a lot of British music magazines like Mojo and Uncut...Plus Artforum, Russian Life and New York Magazine...They all have a style I like.. Recently I picked up a Russian magazine called Snob...Its sort of like Vanity Fair but it has a really cool layout plus its all in Russian.

Anyway...good to see you again...Take care.

  • DADT was not Clinton's ideal policy at all. it really was not so much LGB service members couldn't actually disclose their sexual orientation as much as it was they literally had to say that they were heterosexual. citing DADT if somebody asked you if you were gay was essentially an admission of homosexuality. Fewer and fewer soldiers were discharged after 9-11 and it was very apparent that the military lowered its support several years ago from a statistical standpoint.

  • @DrNHand1994 After 9/11, we entered into 2 wars. According to "Conduct Unbecoming" (by the same author of "And The Band Played On"), the military has consistently eased up on their discharge of gays in time of war for the whole last century, since they need nearly everybody then can get (think Klinger in MASH). Of course, they just ease up on the discharges, but they still do them (as Bush did when he allowed so many coveted military linguists be discharged just when we needed them the most)

  • Thanks for all the great vids. Merry Christmas and all the best in 2011!

  • Hey Rob, I just watched the President sign the bill just a few hours ago! FINALLY it is now law! GLBT are now equal in the eyes of the law as far as military service go's. Now onto gay marrige! Thanks for keeping everyone informed it's really awesome what your doing here!

  • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year I hope your Holidays are great.

  • The repeal of DADT was long overdue. It has been a terrible stain on America, and brought us shame. It's great that America finally has some good gay news and has decided to move into the modern era with our allies.

  • Rob, thanks for posting this. The United States Senate passing the repeal of DADT was good news indeed. President Obama was supposed to be signing that bill today, I believe. Hearing some of the stories of how our gay and lesbian service members have been treated over the past 17 years is just heartbreaking. It is WAY PAST time for the United States to join the rest of our allies in treating gay service members equally with everyone else.

  • DADT was an imperfect compromise between progressive democrats and conservative republicans. Repeal was long overdue. As an ex US Naval Officer (gay) having served aboard 2 aircraft carriers I never observed any violence towards gay sailors (and I knew hundreds - a CVN has a crew of 5,200 men and a amazing number are gay/ bi - must be the uniform, right?). Often gay sailors were also the most popular shipmate aboard - especially during lengthy deployments. PS: visited Perth-great port call.

  • Rob, you are so cute!!!
