Alex Mercer will easilly be more op than Heller, just think about it, Alex has had these powers for much much longer than Heller, he has had more time to master them and the powers that Heller have were given to him by Alex, so Alex should easilly be able to take them away...

Heller sucks...wanna play with Mercer again. I don't like this new glowing Effect on the Swordarm and on all other Weapons from Heller. Protozype is one of my favprite Games...it realy sucks when i see what they do with this great Game. =(
Im just glad that they have focused a little more on the infected, giving us new enemies, in Prototype 1 you had the normal infected that died just by staring at them, then there were the hunters that died in one slash of the sword. And ofcourse, the thing that completely ruined Free Roam, TANKS! Tanks everywhere! you werent able to do jack shit without being steamrolled by 6 tanks, no matter where you go there's always atleast two tanks or 4 helicopters...
I think both characters are badass. I Think people would be saying the same thing they're saying about Heller if Heller was the protagonist in the 1st one and Alex becomes the protagonist in the 2nd. Both are fucking BEAST in their own ways, though I really hope both characters will be playable
I don't understand people and their sense of immersion or connecting with the character. If you honestly can't connect with a character that is a different race/sex then I suggest you take a second to take a look in the mirror and question what kind of person you are.
How is Heller going to kill mercer if mercer is the virus and cant be killed? Like in the ending of the first prototype he still lived so isn't it impossible to kill mercer?
i think it would be cool if when you complete the game you could play as mercer as a bonus. i really hope theve changed the armor ability , with a new more sinister look. i freaking loved that power.
I sincerely hope that at the end of this game, you lose as Heller, and play on as Mercer at the end. That can be the reward for beating the game, playing as Mercer again!

Making Mercers sister the new main character, infected with a virus, last gift of a brother who betrayed his origins. Now that would've been interesting. By making this new main character a family man, it divorces the game from its main audience.
Teenagers, and those in their early 20s. There are so many ways they could've made the second one great, instead they chose the one sure to ruin it. I can't empathise.
And on top of my last comment, its also going to be the same as the last game with a few more powers. I was excited for a sequel but now im not so sure if i'll even buy it. P.s. Mercer's story was dramatic and a cool idea. I dont think they're improving enough though

Not only did we spend ages building Mercer up to be an incredibly powerful protagonist, we spent ages building a kind of emotional connection to Mercer, to his story, to the backstory, and to the secret of his existence. To flip all that against the players and suddenly have you trying to KILL a character you've built an emotional connection to is a very dangerous move.

Versus James Heller: A man on a mission, a sense of revenge, knows who he was, what hes doing, and has nothing left to lose. When you know what you're actually doing, you do it 100% more efficiently. I get the feeling Ill enjoy being Heller even more than Mercer. New, better looking powers, plus a new character for a new experience.

in the end of the game alex wins the "final boss battle" when you verse alex as heller and he kills you, once he kills you he trys to digest you so he can gain all your new powers so alex cna become unstopable, once alex disgests you he turns into a more agilee, faster, stronger, version of himself, he still looks the same but his body is not as developed as yours & heller's mind takes over alex's body... you play as alex mercer's body with heller's mind, fighting the blacklight general
I hope that once you beat Mercer in the final boss battle, Heller decides not to kill him and him and Mercer end up teaming up so there'll be 2 player co op in Prototype 3. Not only did we spend ages building Mercer up to be an incredibly powerful protagonist, we spent ages building a kind of emotional connection to Mercer, to his story, to the backstory, and to the secret of his existence. To flip all that against the players and suddenly have you trying to KILL a character you've built an emotional connection to is a very dangerous move.

Versus James Heller: A man on a mission, a sense of revenge, knows who he was, what hes doing, and has nothing left to lose. When you know what you're actually doing, you do it 100% more efficiently. I get the feeling Ill enjoy being Heller even more than Mercer. New, better looking powers, plus a new character for a new experience.

in the end of the game alex wins the "final boss battle" when you verse alex as heller and he kills you, once he kills you he trys to digest you so he can gain all your new powers so alex cna become unstopable, once alex disgests you he turns into a more agilee, faster, stronger, version of himself, he still looks the same but his body is not as developed as yours & heller's mind takes over alex's body... you play as alex mercer's body with heller's mind, fighting the blacklight general

I hope that once you beat Mercer in the final boss battle, Heller decides not to kill him and him and Mercer end up teaming up so there'll be 2 player co op in Prototype 3.
