In spite of all you small-minded, bigots The Village People are still out there, performing like mad...they give a great show, I have seen them several times, and met them at a VIP event a couple of years ago.
Disco...and The Veeps...are all about Fun and Energy and The Music that you Just Can't Stop!!
They are still going strong, more than 30 years later! NO one will remember any of You little people in 30 years.
What a joke - - - one original member and one semi-original. They don't record anymore and haven't since the early 80's. Why are they bothering with a star -- they were embarassing back in the day and now they just camp.
I am forever a Village People fan! However not to acknowledge Victor Willis who was standing there is a crime. The man was the original LEAD COP and sang the songs like no other! I am sorry Randy Jones left and may Glenn Hughes Rest In Peace.
I was a just a wee small lad in the 70's but I will never forget seeing the original group and learning to stick my hands up in the form of a Y.
They so deserve this no matter what's happened! By the way my crush on David Hodo explains my growing up gay!
It pisses me off to see phonies like that Alex the fake biker, and Jeff the fill in cowboy for Randy Jones to get the star like they actually sang and Victor the Original and voice of the group no get recognized by his peers. You compare the original songs sang by Victor Willis> Ray Simpson is karaoke next to Victor. I'll give Ray props for carrying the group when Victor left but give props to the man who made the group and gave you a job. V. is for Victor and Village!
@taffydancer007 Yeah, wish Randy Jones was there and the late Glenn Hughes, also the original Lead singer Victor Willis. not forgetting Ray Stephens , the lead singer from 1985 to 1986, and finally Mark Lee "Construction Worker," 1982 to 1985
Thank you for sharing this great video with me. It sure brought back great memories. Especially the YMCA bit they did. Seeing the other stars on here was great too. I haven't seen any of the others for quite some time either. I hope that they come to the UK so I can see them. Thank you again for letting me see the great works of the Village People finally being rewarded.
Is that David Hodo? Yikes! My goofy ass didn't even know he was gay back then, I had such a crush on him, lol!!

VILLAGE PEOPLE=2 cool hits and then 30 years of playback. B.t.w. they should also honor the members that are dead and gone now.

Couldn't go to a better group! I also see the sailor switched branches and became a first sergeant.

It's funny that Victor Willis was standing by right at the ceremony, but they did not even invite him up to be acknowleged. That's Hollywood!
