  • this guy use to be a great guy, his Name was Angelo D'arrigo, Remember Him

  • dave23532, it's real. There is an entire documentary on this event. It's great too. He had to land (crash) at a very remote site and be picked up (rescued) by helicopter.

  • Flying a glider new Everest seems impossible as the air is so thin. The footage appears to be fake based on that and the difference in film quality between the glider and the footage in the background

  • Amazing!

  • 3:18-end...that is so fucking beautiful

  • Dam ... You would think the wind up there would be too much.... Scary stuff but at the same time breathtaking.... I hope this guy had a parachute on in case things got outta control.....

  • This man has no fear

  • it's just me or this guy is commiting suicide o.O?

  • truly amazing video.

2:58- did fiat really build that thing ? lol

  • @Pigratcroc It might not be Everest Kansas, but I'd say that this is Mount Everest, more than anything else :) Nice troll btw!

  • its really amazing

  • Bear Grylls did something similiar too

  • Donde compro uno de esos o_O ?

  • you can find it on sdcinematografica.it

  • just land on the top. pound your flag into the ground, say you were on top and go home . tell every one u summit Everest

  • ive been that high before ;) haha

  • Time to stop crying try Naughty women benaughtyman.info

  • How about that turbulence, looked like a struggle to stay in control. Then absolute beauty.

  • @iflydplane

    I don't think that's a turbulence.

You can see the tow that connected hin to the trike wrapped around him.

I believe to remember (the whole thing was on TV a while ago) that the rope broke or the pilot of the trike disconnected it.

Maybe that shock was enough to make the glider dance like that - maybe it freaks out easyer in such thin air.

    Alex Flores R

  • If he would of fallen off or something he would of been screwed :(

  • What an athlet, what a person I consinder myself very lucky to have meet him before is longest flight to heaven!! :-(

  • R.I.P angelo!

  • He took a beating directly after releasing the tow wire!

  • Think people... Hes over 8000 Meter in the air its so incridible

  • O-O Awesome!

  • i don't know about this.

    1st there's only 1/3 of oxygen

2nd its above 29 thousand feet "NOTHING" can fly above this example :helicopters airplanes ect.

  • dumbo- the man has oxygen mask and yes planes fly even higher and yes helichopter has lended on mont everest summit. this is extraordinary effort so learn where to bark and what to respect

  • @th3rokkcc3r Oxygen mask? & yes things can fly above 29000 feet.

  • At 1:14, that is Lukla Airport, not yet constructed. Now it's finished!

  • that is one serious aerotow!

  • 2:52 whats happening here? looks like the pilot is having a seizure....or is that just very strong wind?

  • AWSOME! eagle flies to paraglider......if that guy drops his glasses the eagle could get it for him WIN!

  • 2:54 what the fuck he is doing?

  • First up, you are a nut job and need your head examined. Secondly, thanks.

  • Wonderful!. I suppose some day, someone will try landing on the summit, then taking off to go back down. He will have to pick only a moderately windy day.

  • Why does he start thrashing around at 2:54 ? Catch some wind or something?

  • Grandissimo uomo, nient'altro da aggiungere.

Complimenti per il montaggio del video

  • lol fake! it is everest, however, its computer geneated sceenery! from 3:19 till the end of vid is fake... yeah check out microsoft flight simulator...i have flown over the summit severeral times, once with a mod that made me actually sky dive over it... you tard!

  • Rest in Peace :(((

    Unforgotten !!!

Angelo died whilst doing what he loved best- flying. On Sunday 26 March 2006, at 11.30, the light aircraft in which he was a passenger crashed near to the airfield at Comiso in Sicily; at the controls of the plane was an expert pilot, General De Marchis of the Italian Air Force.

  • That man has got more balls than all the males on this planet put together.

  • I would think that the thinness of the air would make some kind of harsh difficulty.

  • Guys got CASTIRON BALLS!!!

  • Cast Iron balls to do that shit!!!

  • That was Everest. South face was clearly seen. It cannot be more clearer than this

  • I'd rather do this than climb that motherfucker.

  • what a cool bird :D

  • Amazing, amazing stuff! Everything sure had to come together to make that Everest flight possible, and LIVE to talk about it! The preperation/planning/risk must have been enormous!

ALSO, KUDOS on the amazing eagle footage!!

  • Definitely Everest SW face @ 2'40" (been there). Amazing logistical achievement.

    Regards, Mike @ CyberEditing

  • Definitely Everest SW face @ 2'40" (been there). Amazing logistical achievement.

    Regards, Mike @ CyberEditing

  • At 2min' 40" that was definitely Everest South West Face (been there)

That was / is a phenomenal logistical achievement to coordinate the logistics, weather & human element to get this video. One of the greatest achievements I've seen.....including the tug pilot!

  • Thanks to INKAFEST 2010!

Flying over Everest wins the Adventure category of the international festival in Peru!

Its success seems unstoppable, despite its 6 years of life!

  • I don't know about that. the dude seems crazy.

  • I don't know about that. the dude seems crazy.

  • I would have loved to see the expression on some extreme climber face when he looked up and saw this guy fly over him in a hang-glider.

  • Thats a cool bird, like the loyality you get from a dog but in a bird.

  • turbulence must be a bitch,

  • Salutes to you sir ..

  • Fake

  • im sorry but how can that even be possbile without enough oxygen its so high up there that u can barley breath let along hang guilding over the highest point on earth

  • Hitting turbulence over Everest! Cold fight! Beautiful!

  • oh my what an experience. Breathtaking. You either have to be very stupid or very brave. But again, what is the difference?

  • Einfach ne geile Aussicht

Geile Bilder von der Luft aus !!

  • whata was that shaking 3:00?

  • who sings the small 10 second clip right before things get super turbulent for him. or at least what type of music would that be considered? anyone?

  • superbe video , le risque est enorme ! repsect

  • I bet that rock and roll air went on for hours. Hard core. And then you get there and wonder if you'll ever come down! That's a wing buster. I dont like the hype and BS of this production though. Just show me the flight.

  • "No Vale La Pena Vivir, Sin Una Causa Por La Cual Morir"

    =)

  • now this is a pretty picture.

  • at 2:53 he must have had an itchy arse - very bad timing

    lol :D

  • Hit hit some serious butthole puckering turbulence at 2:51. Damn.

  • L'ho visto oggi a scuola.. un video toccante.. un'impresa straordinaria di un uomo con un cuore grande... grazie Angelo!!

  • Can you please upload the rest of this, I don't want to buy it:)

  • You can find the other part on Youtube. the landing was very sportive but he was safe and alive .

Unfortunately, Angelo D'Arrigo died in an accident in 2006 ... :(

  • i think he died on 2006 in France...when he take a tandem fly.... :((( but i'm not shure if its hem ... iu guess so...

  • he unfortunately died few years later, in a "mundane" plane crash in 200m altitude.

He died in a microlight planecrash R.I.P.

  • @lee4samurai

Just to inform you, he 'was' a lucky man.

He died whe he tried to do acro manouvers with a microlight.

I don't know what happened to the passenger right now, i don't have the magazine at hand where it was reported. It's been a while since then.

  • grandissimo Agelo!!!!!

  • grande angelo!!!!

  • L'Angelo..

  • Un mito per sempre!

  • That is the phoniest video I ever saw.

  • The man achieved flight with a handglider while being towed by the ultralight at an altitude where a 737 usually cruises, now that is amazing, i'm surprised that the ultralight managed to climb to such an altitude, amazing...

  • power to weight ratio..

  • Grandissimo uomo, nient'altro da aggiungere.

  • Fantastic amazing, beautiful X

    Thanks for sharing this !

    :-)

  • I'll correct you. He died, but not in South America but in Italy, before his fly here in Argentina, over the Aconcagua Mountain. In a little town in Italy the people decided to celebrate this success, and he went there in an aeroplane that crashed

  • I'm so sorry to hear that. His courage... I'm speechless.

  • He's not dead in South America... he died in Italy, in Sicily in an accident during an airshow...
