The one thing that was a let down with this game was weapon effectivness. Even on easy mode the SMG barely punched though anything along with the magnum ( as usual), assault rifle and shotgun. I honestly don't why they put such weak effect from weapons in this one. Look at Halo: Combat evolved the assualt rifle, magnum and shotgun kicked more Covenant ass like no tommarow. Overall not a bad game when it comes to story and characters.

besides, part of the point of this game was to show what its like to a be normal soldier in the fight, not the Master Chief

@defaultdotxbe Well I had no problem with the melee since it did a far better job than the SMG to be quite honest. The health system was not a problem either just the weapon effectivness. In the Halo series you see other UNSC troops use the same SMG's,without the suppressors. and assault rifles that Master Chief used.

If you want to see it, pay attention at 5:15, the frigate is so small that it's very difficult to see it. This is a fragment of halo 2 when the frigate follow the prophet's carrier to the other halo ring "alpha halo".

actualy, since odst takes place between halo 2 and halo 3, it is the In Amber Clad. remember, right before the carrier made the jump in halo 2, keyes followed it and that's when the explosion occurred. so Itflak is right. also Javsco, the ship is rite next to the carrier on the right side. it's between the carrier and the wall pillar at 5:22 and 5:23

@PIMPINFO Because the events of Halo 2 happen within the timespan of a single day or so. By the time the events of ODST, the Brutes had already recieved the order to eliminate all the Elites. They make mention to it in Buck's first level. Elite's bodies are strewn all over the city if you look around a bit.
