The Gospel has been handed down by the Church though the centuries. The Faith of the Church today is the same faith as that preached by the Apostles. We know this from the writings of eg the Apostolic Fathers who were the succesors to the Apostles. These writings still exist and contain the essential core doctrine that are found in the New Testament and in early creeds such as the Apostles' Creed.

First of all do not listen to him go look up the Qur'an yourself he is not reading the whole verse. That verse takes place during war. This is what chapter 9 verse 5 really says "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem(of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and pay zakat then open the way for them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful.
