If you know any Japanese people who are into metal, ask them about Impellitteri. He's freaking huge over there. Listen to his releases recorded in Japan. Production is so freaking tight. I like how all his songs are simple, short yet powerful.

Yes, Im FUCKING seriuos.

Chris tone is so much brighter, he almost only uses his bridge pick up, uses a really thin pick while Yngwie uses much stiffer picks (big difference, not kidding). Chris picks using his whole arm and hits real hard, and uses alot of downstrokes (which all guitar player should know produces a totaly different sound) while Yngwie uses mostly his wrist picking smoothly.

It´s really a big difference in sound and tone. On most of his recordings Chris uses humbucker guitars, he just poses with strats (ok, that´s a Yngwie copy, but we all know Yngwie copied Hendrix and Blackmore there so we can´t blame Chris there really can we?)

I have never ever seen Yngwie play anything like 17the Century chicken picking. Chris uses his uniqe pickingstyle and arpeggio legato and tapping licks that Yngwie never have and never will use.

I love that typical Impellitteri solo run at 2:23. However i`m kinda dissapointed that he ditched the strat and Plexis. But i adore his mutes and squeals with the ENGLs at 1.52. It`s ironical, that with this modern sound, he kinda sounds like MAB at times.

The thing is. Why didn't Sobel record the drum tracks (it was "Brandon Wild" whomever he is) if he's back with the band? One could say "lack of time for studio" but the album took a LONG time to finish so I still wonder what's up with that.

The album itself rocks! Sure I could see a song or two with some changes but I give it a solid 8/10 for ANY metal fan.
