  • I tuned one of my congas like a "quinto". could I tune that conga like a "conga"?

  • Alguien puede agregar la AFINACION DE LAS 5 CONGAS?

    Muchas Gracias.

  • Great tuning technique. I love my LP Congas but I changed the heads to the newer LP Tri-Center Synthetic Head. No need to De-Tune these and they sound like a hide head but without all the complications of tuning and detuning.

  • do you have a step by step break down of the melody you use during this tunning explaination? I am always looking for different tunes & I like this little rift you use...mario

  • If you practice every day should you tune and de tune every day?

  • @LambdaLuv You would tune your conga every time you play it because you should loosen the skins ( untune it) after every session. If they're real hide and not synthetic, you want to preserve them by not keeping them in constant tension. If you don't loosen them you'll keep stretching em out more and more just to keep em tuned.

  • not mines !!!!

  • For snare drums yes. But because some congas have odd-numbered tuning lugs, a different method is employed :)

  • i would have to agree with mod gyver, you could at least do a star pattern as long as you can keep track to help preserve the drum

  • Sounds like he's actually got G-C-G there. Are those classics?

  • G-C-E would normally be the combination. But the Second drum, or your conga, is normally up to your preference. in tune with your song of course.

  • which congas are those? i know they are lp but lp classics what?

  • those are classic accents

  • theyre lp accents

  • Never tune your Congas around the lugs..Always tune your Congas by criss crossing as if you are drawing a star, other then that good info. Peace, "Las Manos"
