I came looking for something else, however. I want to repurpose a few of my old t-shirts as doggie shirts for my new best friend...my Boston Terrier, Lola. If your vintage suitcase doesn't stay open on it's own, just add a dowel to the back to prevent the bed from closing. Super easy.

if you're good at sewing add some contrasting colored fabrics to make it into a mini dress and wear it with jeans :)

another thing to do with them is make some pillows - sew or glue the bottom and armholes shut and stuff it and close the neck hole - instant tshirt pillow :)

try tying a piece of string to the handle of the lid and then tying the other end of the string to a pole or a strong chair or table leg. Maybe use rope instead of string for toughness. Or even wedge the suitcase into a corner so that it cant close accidentally.
