  • I wanna think toy and all his boys for making them old sad songs!! Yes toy caldwell wrote this, this has to be one of the better versions live in fact of this song!! Like jrs slick lead picking, digging the telecaster and red pants!!! My fav version of can't u see has to be Waylons studio version

  • toy caldwell wrote cant you see i got the living proof book and i challenge anyone to show where hank says he wrote cant you see he never said that... matter of fact hank was ask a couple of years ago what song did he wish he wrote..... he said caint you see

  • What was this on?

  • this is what I like to see, Hank Jr. when he was at his humble self, and not icocky self like he is today! I used to be the biggest Jr. fan but here lately, he has "got to big for his britches" as the old folks used to say!

  • @tracytcole your stupid shut the fuck up

  • Give em hell Bocephus! Marshall Tucker and Toy are proud of you!

  • by god!!!!

  • hank jr. kixx ass

  • This is a awesome song:)

  • Bocephus getting ready to break out.

  • the best

  • Did Waylon sing this song too ?

  • @eptrocks yes and so did the marshall tucker band but hank wrote it when he was in the hospital after his fall.

  • @12889414 Thanks Waylon and Hank both do a great job , I don't remember if i heard marshall tucker band doing it , but i'm sure they could pull it off . Great song.

  • @12889414 -Sorry man, I love hank jr just as much as anyone but he didnt write this song. MTB did. I love every version of it though!

  • @andymccallum32 no I'am sorry man ,check into it read living proof,Hank gave the song to MTB. I promise you.

  • @andymccallum32

absolutely Toy Caldwell (MTB, Lead Guitarist) wrote and performed lead vocals and guitar on this tune off MTB's first album in '73. It was during the Hank Jr & Friends sessions, where Toy and other members of the band took part in where Hank picked it up. From Toy himself.

  • @ConfederateGold I'am just repeating what I read in the book living proof I can play guitar but not good enough to play with MTB and Hank so I didn't hang around them much, I didn't mean to cause an argument. Just read the book.

  • @12889414

    will do

  • @ConfederateGold if you really are into Hank and like to read you will love this book.

  • @12889414

just ordered it, thanks for the tip

  • @ConfederateGold I will be glad when you read it because everybody is telling me Iam wrong and I'am wondering if I did read it.

  • @12889414 hey bud just wondering if you have read the book yet, like to know if I was wrong about Hank writing this song and giving all rights to Toy. Thanks.

  • @12889414

no he didnt. the "im gonna climb a mountains, jump off aint no one gonna know." line is just a very eerie coincidence.

  • @ConfederateGold This show was after his accident, so not a coincidence. Spooky definitely that he could sing it, but he's a tough one. :)

  • hank jr will live on forever i got a hank jr shirt framed on my wall to commerate the king

  • Smokin hot

  • hank keepin it real..

  • everyone must be speechless by the mastery of this song.
