Zen Mozaic Clarification

The Creative Zen Mozaic had a design flaw which creative would never admit to, the screen broke really easily when subjected to very little pressure. Two people I know had exactly the same problem and the number of people on message boards who suffered the same issue points to somewhat more than a coincidence.

@wspooiscool first of all, you didnt ask a question. you just said it wouldnt charge. if you lost the USB cable then there's little anyone can tell you besides buying a mini USB cable. if that doesnt work, try finding the cable you lost.

I use vegas for my xfi .. i'm sure that it would work with the mozaic if you know the settings (resolution, video bitrate, audio bitrate etc) required..

Biggest overkill ever for video conversion (i sue it for editing as well tho) but it has the most comprehensive export settings i've ever seen

not even vegas pro has motion jpeg. no converter does and i blame creative's lack of judgment for that. why in the world would anyone think it was a good idea to use a video format that no one in the world uses. thats just stupid planning....

/rant. i dont use the mozaic that much anymore. its already become pretty outdated compared to other 4-16GB media players.

Hi, nice vid! You say the speakers always come on when the headphones come out, but you can switch it off via the menu. My question is: Does switching the speakers off via the menu (while the headphones are plugged in) mean the speakers will not come on again next time you unplug the headphones?? Just the one question i need answered before i make the choice to buy this! Thanks!

when you plug the headphones in, the option says "turn on speaker" when the headphones are out, it says "turn speaker off"

this is the one major thing a hate about this player. you have to develop a habit of hitting the pause button before unplugging the headphones.

try windows media player. it works better for music transfer.

If you want to put any music like real-one player or windowsmedia player just copy the music you want and paste on your zen's Music file, then it will transfer to it... No need to use creative centrale if you want to put music to your zen mozaic, I dunno how to use creative centrale

i aquire my music from many different places, but i always use torrents. they are the fastest and easiest way to get what you want.

you may have to uninstall the driver in device manager and then plug the player back in. that worked for me and it still works.

ouch dude. LX version has no speaker or fm radio. they took them out to bring the cost down. take that thing back and get a normal one elsewhere.

And just to go on with that. I hate the fact that Creative thinks they can release a random model that has stuff missing and think people are going to magically know what is missing. Im starting to really not like their current business practices. Also, dropping the price of a play by $40 after only a month is stupid...i got robbed of my money...

you mean it wont shuffle, or you cant find the shuffle option? i know there are some problems with the Shuffle Algorithm, but it should shuffle pretty good.

just plug it in. this is a PlayForSure device, so the moment you plug it in, it will install itself and prompt you to put files on it.

yep. any pic can be used as a background image. its been like that on all creative zen players starting with the Zen Micro Photo (back in 2004)

depends on your computer. if you are using windows vista, its Computer -> System Properties -> Device Manager. dont remember what it was for XP.

all right i got songs all the right stuff like that creative centrale thing, but when i try to transfer it says that no player is connected, but i can see with my own eyes that the mp3 is in the computer with its usb cable, notsure whats wrong.

your computer may not be recognizing the mp3 player. happens to mine too often... i'm still having trouble finding a solid solution to this problem, but what ive noticed is that if you go into device manager and uninstalling the player driver, it usually reloads it and works the next time you plug in the player. go ahead and try that. if it doesnt work, just send my a message and i'll help you out further.

you have to use the creative centrale software to convert the videos. drag the vids to the software, then drag them from the there to the player icon in the software. might take some time, but they will get there.

when you plug in the player, the battery icon on the top right should have a blinking lightning bolt thing and when its done charging, it will have a plug symbol in the spot. if you are able to synch the player to your computer, then it will charge by itself...

On walmart there is a Creative Zen LX 4gb for $50 yet there is the same thing 4gb without the LX but it is $74 :\ you know whats up with that?
